The Westin Poinsett is a beautiful site for an elegant wedding reception. It is especially lovely during the holiday season with the huge decorated Christmas trees in the lobby and ballrooms. We worked closely with Sarah, the wedding coordinator at the Westin, to plan all the details of the reception, and she was very easy to work with, receptive to concerns, and always professional.

I would do it all over again the very same way and pray it was as wonderful.The hotel was a gracious host.Sarah locke, the wedding coordinator,was so perfect for my needs.She is organized with great detail and was true to her commitment.She walked me through an amazing challenge with perfection.My guests enjoyed themselves and were so complementary of the venue.the setup of mezzanine,terrace and Poinsett ballroom allowed for the flow of the guest with warmth and comfort.The food was outstanding ;my guests said it was the best wedding food.The servers were eager and pleasant.

They are extremely thorough and detail oriented, which played a huge role in my flawless reception. Additionally, the venue's price includes food (people can not stop talking about how good it was), the wait and bar staff, and the tables, linens, and silverware. I have heard horror stories about brides who choose a venue because it seems like a good price, but once they add all of these things that I mentioned above, they are in over their heads, and have to deal with returning all of their rentals. It is nice to know the complete price before you commit to the venue. For the high quality of the facilites and services that come with having you reception at the Poinsett, the price is a good deal.

The professionalism, quality, responsiveness, flexibility, fun, beauty and value can not be surpassed. Sarah Locke, the wedding consultant/planner at the Westin Poinsett handled everything, from our first meeting a year before the wedding until weeks after, on a very personal yet professional level. Unbelieveably wonderful experience! Stephen Enwright, food service manager, and his courteous attentive staff did an outstanding job as well. Making sure the wedding party had plenty of deliicious food, drink and cake. Thank you Stephen, the Westin, and especially Sarah for giving my daughter the wedding day of her dreams!

At first glance, the Westin Poinsett seemed like it was going to be really expensive. But when I started getting quotes from other reception venues, I realized how reasonable it really was - and that it was actually cheaper AND better when you figured in tax, gratuity, and all the other things they include! Our guests all raved about the historic charm and elegance of the hotel, the food, and the service. We had our dream wedding there! So glad we chose the Westin.

The perfect place in downtown Greenville for a Reception. Everything was perfect - food, service, room set up - every detail was attended to. Sarah was amazingly efficient. Responsiveness to questions was quick & concerns were addressed quickly - she treated us like we were her only event. Without question we would book there again in a hearbeat & completely mark that part of the Wedding off of "Our Wedding Worry List".

Everything at the Westin was absoultly wonderful!! I was everything I had hoped it would be! The food was fabulous, anytime I needed to get in touch with sarah I always could, she was a wonderful help to me, especally during the stressful time towards the end. I know I prob send a thousand emails but she was always so helpful!! Felxibility was great, I prob changed things several times and it was never a problem, whatever I wanted! I would highly recommend the Westin!

The Westin was an elegant and relatively inexpensive venue for our reception. When we compared what we got with the Westin Poinsett versus other options in the area, we definitely got more than we paid for. The food was excellent (the mashed potato bar was a hit) and Sarah took very good care of us and no question was too small or silly for her! I would recommend it heartily.

Gorgeous hotel and ballrooms! Extremely pleasant and professional food and beverage staff. Very friendly catering manager, Sarah Locke, who works along side the bride to produce a successful event. Only 2 negative comments: 1) keep track of your finances with the accounting department 2) guest reservations were often done by a national office, not the local hotel desk, so guests were given inaccurate information.
I also had a Ladies Luncheon the day before my wedding at the Spoonbread Restaurant inside the Westin Poinsett. The manager, Stephen Enright, was extremely helpful, pleasant, and charismatic! Any favor, large or small, I asked of him that day he did without any complaint. We had a delicious 3-course meal that was very reasonably priced (as I compared prices with other local restaurants in the downtown area). Last but not least, the Spoonbread Restaurant is a gorgeous room at the Westin!

It was so easy to plan my wedding because the Westin handled EVERYTHING. The reception was beautiful.

I had a beautiful reception at the Westin Poinsett, however there were some glitches with people reserving hotel rooms for the weekend and my own reservation was for the wrong type of room. There were also a few other bumps in the road during the planning of our reception, possibly due to staffing changes during our wedding planning process. Although I was very nervous in the weeks leading up to our wedding, the reception was flawless. The service was phenomenal, the food was great, and everyone had a great time.

I have nothing but rave reviews about the Westin. My wedding reception was flawless. Everyone was treated like a VIP. Sarah kept everything running smoothly, the staff was professional, the food was great, and the pricing was reasonable compared to similar venues, especially after I negotiated a few discounts. I loved the location downtown so my guests (mostly out-of-towners) could stay there and walk to nearby bars if they wanted to continue having fun after the reception ended. Every time that I went for planning meetings, I was beyond impressed with the quality of service. Every request that we had was answered, even requests made in the last week. Thanks for making our wedding fabulous!

In true Poinsett tradition, all who attended our reception were honored guests as they received a warm reception, dined on delicious food and experienced the spacious and elegant ambiance of the Poinsett Ballroom and adjoining veranda and mezzanine. Jennifer Davis was cheerful, accomplished, and professional in all aspects of planning our event. She was helpful with valuable suggestions, knowledgeable with prompt answers to our questions, and responsive to our requests for a layout that would accommodate a large band, dance floor, and our many guests.
