My husband and I are very, very happy we went with WeddingsMV.com to document our celebration. Dan was easy to work with and we found the company's rates to be in line with our expectations. He edited an absolutely stunning clip distilling our ceremony that we were able to share with our friends and family (I've heard that it brought more than a few of them to tears), and less than three weeks after the wedding we received a full DVD from him. Before we even booked Dan we ran him by our photographer, who praised him for his professionalism and for not getting in the way of the still shots when they'd worked together in the past. This remained true for our wedding. Somehow both the photographer and videographer managed to get in on all the key moments, but worked together well enough to largely stay out of each other's shots. The DVD is edited well and the sound quality is fantastic. I had been worried about what our ceremony would sound like on the DVD -- had heard a number of stories about beach ceremony videos being dominated by the wind -- but whether it's because he microphoned everyone well or just did a lot of sound mixing in editing, the words and music are crystal clear throughout. If you're getting married on the Vineyard, the visuals are going to be breathtaking and the footage of the Edgartown Lighthouse that Dan included caught it perfectly - rewatching the video is going to be like getting an imaginary trip to the island in between actual visits. I would recommend that future brides go over in detail exactly what they want recorded and not make assumptions about what will be included - there are a few moments that I would have liked captured that weren't, and I know that the fault on that is mine for not explicitly going over what I wanted. Not a big deal and the things we have more than make up for the little things we don't, just something of which to be aware (and probably true for every aspect of wedding planning).
