The Palms was amazing. A perfect choice. We received so very many compliments on our venue (the gazebo is to die for. And for those that are worried it's not intimate enough, you wont believe it when it's all dressed up! No outside noise bothered us and our woodwind trio was easily heard throughout the garden). And the food? Unbelievable. We were do proud to serve our guests such a delicious meal! It's true that Miami Beach kills you with taxes, but you can't blame the Palms for that-- out of their control. Factor in serveral thousand dollars on top of your budget just to cover taxes. Otherwise, not a single hitch-- from delivering our welcome bags to guests rooms, hosting our welcome dinner, through the ceremony and reception, to even the brunch we threw the next morning, not a thing could have been more perfect :) A HUGE thanks to Michelle for all of her diligent assistence!!

We had the most amazing wedding at The Palms Hotel and Spa. We got married in the gazibo in the gardens of the hotel. We are from the UK and had no idea what the venue looked like apart from looking at pictures on the internet and reading reviews and it was more than we could have asked for. We had 20 guests and our wedding was really relaxed; exactly how we wanted it.
The Wedding Coordinator Monica Henning is a must, she was fantastic! I could email her any time with questions I had and got a quick response. She also helped decorate the tables and gazibo on the day as well as keeping myself and husband to be apart before the ceremony. Highly recommended - our wedding was perfect.

The Palms Hotel and Spa will truly make all of your wedding dreams come true. Michelle Cannicci the catering manager at the Palms, is truly the best!!! She helped us plan a storybook wedding from start to finish. Every hope and dream for our beach wedding came true all because of Michelle and the gorgeous grounds at the Hotel. Michelle, is amazing, not only is she professional, very quick to respond to any questions we may have had, but most importantly the ceremony, coctail hour and reception were truly flawless. It was magical, and truly a storybook wedding. Just about every guest is still calling us to tell us that it was the best wedding they had ever been too. Everyone, is still raving about the wedding, the grounds, the welcome dinner and the brunch. Michelle and her team, including Lorenz the reservations manager, who accomodated everyones needs, and Paul the banquet manager, who assited in providing the best wedding ever, are exceptional!!! Look no further The Palms Hotel and Spa is the ONLY place to have your wedding dreams come true. Michelle Cannicci, is the best wedding coordinater out there. She helped us plan a BBQ welcome dinner on the pool terrace, which was perfect!!! The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was exceptional, and a great start to our wedding weekend. The wedding was followed with a brunch on teh veranda which was also simply amazing. Michelle and Paul, made sure each and every event we had was perfect and they truly were!!! Every employee of the hotel that we dealt with was professional, and truly went out of their way for us!! There are truly no other words to say than thank you from the bottom of our hearts for planning the "BEST WEDDING EVER." We truly believe this has to be the most beautiful and unique wedding venue to get married at in the Miami Beach area. We love to stay at The Palms whenever we are in Miami but their wedding services surpassed any expectations we ever had. Monica Henning was our wedding co ordinator and was absolutely brilliant at her job. We are from the UK and she helped us arrange our wedding by e-mail and conference calls.
Paul the Catering Manager was also outstanding and both him and Monica ensured that we had a great day and everything ran so smoothly. The outside are of the Palms is stunning! We were married in the Gazebo, followed by pictures on the beach. The grounds are beautifully attended to as is the rest of the hotel. Our evening reception and cocktail hour were equally as good as the day itself. The food was first class and all of our guest thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Let me start off by saying that since our wedding on September 2, 2012 at The Palms Hotel and Spa, the outpouring of texts, e-mails and comments on Facebook from almost everyone that was in attendance have all mentioned the same three words "Best Wedding Ever."
Our planning for this event began a little over a year ago...we are from Philadelphia and wanted to have a beach wedding in Miami. Our initial trip to Miami was to look at venues for our event and after seeing the Palms Hotel, I called and cancelled all of our appointments to look at other hotels. The beach, gardens and hotel itself were picture perfect and we knew from the minute we stepped inside it was the place to have our dream wedding. We also chose to have a beachside BBQ at the Palms to welcome all of our guests the night before the wedding. The food, service and presentation for both the welcome reception and wedding went above and beyond our highest expectations. I must admit I was a little hesitant about planning one of the most special days in our lives from afar, but it was effortless with the help of Michelle Cannici. From day one, Michelle returned all of my calls and e-mails promptly, and as I am a bit of a control freak I must say that was no easy task! I honestly felt like I was the only bride she was working with for the entire year. Our guests not only enjoyed their time at our events but commented on how much they loved staying at the Palms. Everyone really enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the beach and pool and really loved the overall setting of this beautiful hotel, not to mention all the comments we received about how good the food is. Thank you to Michelle, Paul, Lorenz. Mondo and all the Palms Hotel staff for making our wedding weekend just as memorable for our guests as it was for us! We first selected the Palms Hotel and Spa to be our wedding venue a couple of months ago after visiting Miami to see another venue that was also located on the water but not the beach. Upon arrival at that other venue we were a little disappointed and the disappointment continued to grow as we walked into the venue in the midst of the preparation for one wedding while another reception was taking place on the deck. There was no privacy at all as passers by like myself and my then fiancé along with hotel patrons and poolside guests were able to look on as the reception proceeded. It must have been all over our faces that we were not impressed because we left the venue and never heard from the catering manager again, not even a follow up phone call to see if we needed any questions answered. If this was our first interaction with the venue and was any indication of the service there, we are very happy that we did not select this place. As we made our way back to our hotel, we decided to drop by the Palms Hotel & Spa unannounced because we weren't able to get an appointment for that day. The hotel was preparing for a wedding celebration and as we walked around we bumped into a guy by the name of Paul. He was very helpful in answering some preliminary questions and showed us around as much as he could before he had to return to his work. This was so much different from what we experienced only a couple of hours ago and that along with the decor and presentation of the hotel, we had made our decision to have our wedding at the Palms Hotel & Spa.
The person we had been in touch with initially was Michelle Cannici and one call later we had sealed a date at the venue. Michelle was a delight to work with throughout this process. She was never unavailable to take calls or respond to our emails. She was knowledgeable with respect to what had to be done and we worked with her to ensure that all everything we had to do got to her on time. She guided us through the wedding planning process and two months prior to our date we met with her for our tasting. This was the first time we had ever done something like this and wasn't sure what to expect so we had an early lunch just in case. That was a mistake because Michelle and her Chef had another thing planned for us. We tasted the welcome drinks (which was a big hit) followed by appetizers (which were three salads), then the entrees (again three plates). The third course of desserts were not presented to us but would be a selections of the chef's creations which we were okay with. One more thing ... the Executive Chef was the one that presented the menu to us ... not a waiter or a sous chef ... the guy that runs the kitchen. Even though the food was outstanding we wanted to change a couple of things as we kept the pallet of our guests in mind. Much to our surprise the changes were very welcomed and as the time counted down we made some changes here and there. Not wanting to bite off more than we found chew given our hectic work schedules we decided to hire Michelle as our day-of coordinator and that was money well spent. She took care or everything and liaised with our vendors to ensure that everything was on schschedule. She even took care of laying out the two sets of favors we wanted. At the day of our wedding Michelle, Paul (the event captain) and the Jamie (the Executive Chef) made everything happen flawlessly. There were no issues and meltdowns at all. All of the planning was carefully executed by Michelle and Paul and the food was amazing. All of our guests were absolutely blown away by the venue, the clockwork timing and by the meals. Trust the chef's selection of desserts ... He got rave reviews! Here's the bottom line. If you have read all of the above you must be convinced by now that you to have selected the right place to have your wedding. There is a good reason that weddings at the Palms Hotel and Spa are rated as the best on South Beach ... In fact there are three ... Michelle, Paul and Jamie. They work as a team and they work really well together. I would call them the Miami wedding dream team. Michelle Cannici has attained a reputation for being the top person on South Beach to plan a wedding and it is well deserved. Thanks for making our wedding a success guys. We really appreciate it.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Oh did I mention they are amazing!
First of all the venue is gorgeous. It is a beautiful art deco hotel (but it doesn't have that bad smell that art deco hotels usually have). I love the big wicker fans they have everywhere and their orchids. The veranda is just gorgeous (that was plan B in cased it rained, and let me tell you, it was so beautiful, that it wouldn't have been a big deal if it rained). The veranda is where we had the cocktail hour, and it was great. The cocktail hour was from 7 pm to 8 pm and with the fans and the breeze, the weather was perfect even though it was July. The gazebo is exactly what I wanted. Walking down the wooden stairs, and through the coral aisle to get to the beautiful gazebo, was like a fairy tale. That area is so beautiful, that you don't really need much to decorate it. The Royal Palm ballroom is also gorgeous! It's so elegant and classy in and of itself. It doesn't feel like a decorated conference room like at some hotels, or like a banquet hall room, it just feels like an elegant and classic room (for some reason it made me think of Casablanca). It also does not take much to decorate it. We picked the blue up lighting that The Palms offered, and it turned it from very nice to SPECTACULAR! The food was amazing! SOOOOOO DELICIOUS! Again, it did not have that "catered taste", but it was more like a restaurant. We got to sample 3 entree options before hand, we met the chef, and then we got to pick what we like best and make our own version of the entree. And last but definitely not least Michelle Cannici was such a pleasure to work with. From the first phone call all the way to the end, she was approachable, professional, responsive, and just SO NICE! (It's like you can hear her smiling through the phone). She made the whole wedding process with the venue just a breeze. Not once was I worried or concerned about the venue. She made sure we felt comfortable and that we knew everything would be perfect. I think that thanks to her the wedding planning was a breeze. And before I forget, all the people that worked on our wedding that night were great. For instance, mom (and most of my family) doesn't speak much English, and they made sure there was a "master of events" that spoke Spanish, so that there were no problems. The Palms is not only beautiful, but they accommodated us, fit our everything need, and made sure the wedding process was enjoyable. Thank you for such a great and unforgettable experience!

Beautiful, quiet & elegant location! We loved how the hotel is located on the beach and we were able to take stunning shots and video on the rocks.
We worked with Michelle at the Palms and she was very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel did a wonderful job with the ceremony, reception and covering all of the little details! I had my hair and makeup also done at the Spa, and not only was it convenient but they did a great job. We had a beautiful wedding, thanks to the awesome staff at The Palms!

The Palms was by far the best vendor we worked with!!! From the first day of planning until after the wedding, I cannot say enough about how amazing the experience was! Michelle was so easy to work with, incredibly organized, and such a pleasure. I never felt like my endless questions were a bother and her response time was so impressive. On the day of, she was there helping set up and put me completely at ease. Paul took care of us during the night and my husband and I never expected the level of treatment we experienced. we felt like kings and queens for the night. Everyone who attended raved about the venue. The food was AMAZING. We had so much fun with the chef @ the tasting. There is NO wedding food at this venue! It's gourmet, 5 star cuisine! Everyone was so impressed! Worth every penny we paid!!!

I do not have enough good things to say about The Palms. Michelle was our coordinator throughout planning, as well as DOC. She was always easy to communicate with and always got back to me within a day. The day of the wedding it was raining off and on, and I was afraid they were going to have to move it under the covered terrace, but they cleaned all the chairs, and we were still able to have our wedding outside at the gazebo! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the staff and service was AWESOME. I would recommend The Palms to anyone and everyone!!! I cannot wait to go back!

It is ashame that you decided to make a decision about your upcoming wedding based on $28 of valet parking and not actually having an event at the Palms. The Palms is a wonderful and amazing place to have a wedding at and it is unfortunate for you that you are passing on the opportunity to experience it. Monica Henning will have gone out of her way to make your wedding day special, carefree and the day you always dreamed it would be.

The Palms Hotel and Spa is an amazing place to have a wedding. We had our ceremony on the beach, cocktails on the South Lawn and dinner on the Veranda. Thanks to the staff at The Palms Hotel and Spa our wedding day could not have been any better.
Monica was great, she was easy to work with and extremely helpful prior our wedding day. On our wedding day she took care of our every request/need. It was well worth the extra money to have Monica as the day of wedding coordinator. Paul the banquet manager was great too. We choose several locations on the property, one location for the ceremony, one for cocktails and a different one for dinner. Paul made sure that our guests had no issues finding there way from one spot to another. He made sure that food came out on time and that things moved as they were suppose to. Between Monica and Paul, we never had one thing to worry or stress about from the minute we checked into the Palms for our wedding. Lastly Chef Jaime at The Palms was terrific too. He was very accommodation to our requests. The food was amazing; every guest enjoyed his/her meal from beginning to end. Every guest we had was amazed at the beauty of the Palms, the food, the service as well as Monica and Paul. The staff at the Palms Hotel and Spa displayed the highest level of customer service that I have seen at any resort. They have made us customer/visitor for life.
