I live in NYC and had a small, low budget wedding. After I recovered from sticker shock from local florists/grocery stores, I decided to order flowers from Sam's Club. I was not interested in spending thousands of dollars on flowers that I was just going to throw away. Additionally, I did not have the time or creativity to design and assemble my own bouquets with flowers from the local flower market.
I ordered a "wedding collection" (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc), centerpieces and 100 roses. My wedding was on Saturday and I had them delivered on Thursday. I received tracking information on Wednesday and the flowers arrived on time and in good condition from 2 vendors. When I opened the boxes, I was shocked at how beautiful they were! It only took my mom and me about an hour to trim them and put them in water until the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the bouquets were ready to go and the centerpieces were easy to assemble (they do not come with vases so we purchased our own from ikea). They held up just fine and looked great, but I think next time I would have them delivered on Friday, as they were slightly brighter the night before the wedding.
The only issue was that the purchasing process was confusing and required a lot of back and forth. I purchased them on a debit card and for some reason, Sam's Club told me my bank would not approve the purchase. However, when I talked to my bank, they said they had already approved it. I tried a credit card instead and the payment was approved, but the charge disappeared from my card after a couple days. I talked to Sam's Club again and they clarified that I would not be charged until the flowers shipped. This was not clear to me during the ordering process. Additionally, anytime I called Sam's Club, they generally could not answer my question when I called, they always had to have someone call me back, which was frustrating.
Overall, it was a positive experience and I would do it again / recommend to a friend.

Do NOT order your flowers from Sam's Club! I was married May 30th, 2015 and NEVER received the nearly 1000 flowers I had ordered. I had the intention of making my own bouquets and centerpieces. i called the Friday before the wedding to be told that the order had been canceled by Sams Club. The reason I was given was that the shipping zip code couldnt be confirmed, although we had ordered several other items that all arrived without a problem. There was no email or phone call to tell me ALL my flowers had been canceled. They told me I could drive to the nearest Sam's club and see what they had to offer in their flower departments... Mind you this was a destination wedding in florida, meant to spend time with family and friends. I ended up having grocery store flowers and honestly was perfectly okay with it.
Hoever the professionalism of Sams Club was horrible. I have called and spoke with 5 different managers asking for a resolve, or how this wont happen to another bride, and have not received a call back. They offered no apology or reason.
If you want to receive flowers I suggest ordering from another wholesaler.
Cheap, delicious, and easy. I've had two other friends choose to get cupcakes from Sams over a wedding cake since my reception. It's too easy and affordable. I threw candy pearls on top to pretty them up, and had my Aunt set them up on pretty towers.
We ordered two types of sunflowers - the mini yellow sunflowers, and the red sunflowers. We ended up getting red and orange sunflowers, and they were BEAUTIFUL! I was super excited to get a third color that matched our wedding theme perfectly. It's worth mentioning that when you order flowers, you should be flexible - they may substitute other colors. Not all our mini sunflowers had brown centers. But you know what? For the price, that's okay. We made 1 bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, and 8 gorgeous centerpieces for less than $250. Everything arrived on time and opened beautifully - it's hard to complain with such a great value.
However - I only got an order confirmation, and then nothing until I saw the flowers at the door. Shipping notification with tracking number was emailed AFTER the flowers arrived. I'm a calm person, and this did stress me out a bit. Be ready for this possibility if you order from them, and try to stay calm if possible. It still worked out fine for us.
Unrelated to the service, but probably helpful for anyone looking to do the DIY flower route - flower time took us roughly 2 hours with 5 people helping, but turned out beautifully. Plan to get floral tape, a bit of nice ribbon, some pins, and containers for your centerpieces in addition to this. We got some amazing birch buckets from save-on-crafts.com relatively inexpensively that really made the sunflowers shine.
I am very angry and disappointed at Sam's Club. I asked flowers to be delivered last Thursday and I live in Los Angeles central area. Half of the flowers arrived on time, but the other half did not until the next day. During the wait, I called Sam's Club and they only told me that i would receive an email when it was sent out and could not provide other info. We waited for an entire day and the flower did not arrive that night. When we called again at night at 6pm, their customer service was already out.
Because it was delivered late, flower did not have enough time to drink water, my schedule was completely messed up, I had to get extra help from friends and money for other flower, and, it causes tremendous amount of stress on me right before the wedding. I got anxious, cried, and felt stressed. Not a mood a bride wants to have.
After the wedding, I called Sam's Club to request refund. Their response disappointed me even MORE. After several long calls ( on hold most of time), they would only give me $25!! and I had to insist talking to their manager 3 times before the woman was willing to transfer further (still didn't get to talk to a manager). However, in the end, they said they could only give me $50 back. This is humiliating. I even spent $45 on the membership just for wedding flower.
They insisted that they would not give me full refund because flower was not damaged. BUT IT WAS LATE! and this is for a wedding, and it can't be late. Most important of all, they did not try to solve the problems. I did not receive any information about late delivery and they did not try to compensate me fairly afterwards. They don't deserve any trust from customers. It is the WORST company ever.
I tried to post this review on their website, and it was blocked. So I can only post my experience on all bridal websites to tell all brides-to-be that: STAY AWAY FROM SAM'S CLUB! you don't want extra stress to ruin your wedding mood.! and hope you find a good alternative.
Sam's Club flowers were beautiful and arrived in excellent condition. Gerber daisies and mixed bouquets were as colorful and fresh as advertised. Excellent value at great savings, so we would order flowers from Sam's for any occasion.
Just got my flowers in from Sams Club for my wedding on Sunday Nov 10. They arrived exactly on time. All arrived beautifully and packed very nicely. It came with instructions on how to care for the flowers and clippers for the stems. We just used buckets to store them in a couple empty refrigerators like the florist do in the flower shops. Sams Club flowers are a great valule, however I did find myself getting anxiety over the fact they were being shipped from so far away and Sams customer service was kind of in the dark about the status of my order until they actually shipped. I would definitely recommend Sams Flowers to DIY brides. They sell pre assembled bouquets and seperates. I only spent $300 and got 16 bouquets for my tables and bridesmaids and 125 white roses. Great Value!
AMAZING!!!! We ordered flowers from online after reading reviews!! They were perfect!! We got sunflowers and they came small but once we followed the directions they opened up and were better than what I thought they would be!! The color was bring, and they opened very nicely!!
My flowers were AMAZING! We couldn't afford florist prices ($1000+) so we did some research and found that Sam's had flowers and colors similar to what we wanted. They arrived exactly on time and they looked great the day of the wedding. Definitely worth the cost but you sacrifice flexibility because you cannot custom order any arrangements.
This has been an ongoing nightmare that is still not resolved. We received part of our flower order as scheduled and the flowers were ok. Received a phone call from Sam's that same day telling us the hydrangeas would be coming the next day...the wedding was the following day...we could work with that, ok, so far. After waiting most of the next day, we call Sam's and they tell us there is no record of anyone calling us the day before about the hydrangeas. Finally, they tell us the flowers were misdirected and that we will not receive them until Monday, the day after my daughter's wedding. (So, we go to all of the retail shops in 4 different cities to buy as many hydrangeas as we could find.). Sam's did credit the price of the hydrangeas back to my credit card...but, get this...now there is a charge for over $200 for the following month on my card for flowers that we did not order. It has been a nightmare. I had to have a three way conversation with them and my credit card company, then I faxed all the information they wanted proving that a charge went through on my card. Sam's said they would get back to me in three business days and they have not. The nightmare continues, the charge is still on my credit card statement i just received, even though it is disputed.
I did not order flowers from any particular store, just from Sam's Club online. Our flowers were AMAZING! We ordered bulk flowers, 2 different types of hydranges and the mini sunflowers. Spent $200 total and my house was OVERFLOWING with flowers... we had a small wedding but EASILY could have made these stretch out for a larger wedding if we just used 1 smaller arrangement per table (instead we made enough to have a whole line of flowers going down the long tables). Had them delivered 2 days before our wedding, followed the directions, and sure enough, the flowers "woke up" and were opened almost fully by our wedding day. Our bouquets and flower arrangements turned out beautiful. Out of the entire order, we only threw away one flower. I would say that's good quality!!
One tip - if you have any wilting hydrangeas, put them in a vase of boiling water, wrap paper towels around the tops of the stems to block the steam from hurting the flowers & leaves, and wait a few hours - they will come back to life!
Don't use Sam's club. They promise but don't deliver! Nearly ruined my wedding. We ordered for Thursday delivery for my Saturday wedding. After staying home all day, we found they failed to ship. After numerous calls, they once again guaranteed delivery for Friday (of course that would be late, but we figured we could rearrange and manage). They never followed through on ANYTHING. I arrived home on Sunday to find a FedEx door tag that said a perishable shipment was not delivered because I was not home. I assume they are the flowers...I was not home because I was at the wedding. DO NOT USE SAM"S CLUB unless you have a really good contingency plan! They lied to me and I am sure they will lie to you! Good thing my mother is a magician and pulled together a back-up bouquet. Of course that meant she was not ready on time, but then mom's do that for their kids. I can't say enough to discourage you from using Sam's Club. Your wedding day is not the time to rely on their truly inadequate and unprofessional service.
I also ordered my flowers online from Sam's Club! It's how my sister did it and I'm so glad I did it too. So affordable! Ordered carnations and baby's breath in bulk. They arrived right on time- day before the wedding- in great shape, fresh and lovely! My aunt put together bouquets and boutennieres (sp?) with them and we had plenty left over to decorate our entire reception area. We had flowers in hands, on lapels, on the tables, in the windows, everywhere! I think it cost like $200 and the whole wedding was covered. Seriously- DO IT. Simple, easy, beautiful.
I ordered 400 roses (half red, half white), and 25 lilies. The flowers came carefully packaged and exactly when they were expected to arrive. We only had one broken stem out of 425 flowers! The lilies didn't fully open in time for the wedding, even though we got them six days before the wedding, so I would definitely recommend an early delivery for them, but they were still BEAUTIFUL in the arrangements. Each stem had at least 3 blooms. The red roses were huge! Everyone remarked how beautiful the flowers were and couldn't believe I had ordered them online and made my own bouquets and flower arrangements!! I would recommend ordering from Sam's Club online to ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!!
PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON SAM'S CLUB FOR YOUR FLOWERS! I had basically the same experience as another reviewer. We ordered 100 orange gerber daisies for our Dec 29 wedding. At 5:00pm On Christmas Eve, I got an email (no phone call) stating "due to unforeseen circumstances", my order could not be filled and was cancelled. Of course I was hysterical, this basically ruined my Christmas bc I could not speak to anyone until Dec 26, three days before my wedding. So yesterday, they agreed that this was a huge mistake and guaranteed my orange gerber daisies would be delivered by tomorrow, Dec 28. Well, I did get a delivery today, NOT GERBER DAISIES, orange tiger lilies. This is not the theme of our wedding. Now with less than 40 hours until my wedding, I am stuck with nothing. Tomorrow is our rehearsal, and I have no time to try to hunt down these flowers that I ordered a month in advance. This is basically every bride's worst nightmare unfolding right before my eyes. Sams is UNRELIABLE! DO NOT USE THEM!
