Amazing team of photographers!

From the day we met Becci and her team, they were so kind and professional. Kristin shot our engagement photos and was magic! She made us feel so comfortable and really made it fun. Rachel and Kristin shot our wedding and were AMAZING. They brought a great energy to the day and we are so grateful. They did a great job corralling our large family and we are so tickled with the photos. We will truly cherish them forever. Thank you RA&Co!

Beautiful photos!

We are very fortunate to have had Becci as our wedding photographer. Becci captured our wedding day - the people, the emotions, the moments - so beautifully! We have been scrolling through her photo gallery on repeat and will probably continue to do so for days to come. It is so hard to pick favorite photos when they are all so good. We not only appreciate Becci's skillful work but had so much fun in the process from taking engagement photos to our wedding day. As two people who are not the most natural in front of the camera, she put us at ease and we are grateful to have this documentation of our wedding day.

An Actual Covid Miracle

Between losing the wedding we'd spent almost a year planning, our vendors, and just about every ounce of hope that we were going to have a wedding, very little has gone to plan during the time of covid. However, without our entire wedding world falling apart, we never would have gotten to book and work with Becci. Besides marriage, she is absolutely the best thing that happened to us.

Becci is incredibly professional, flexible, and an all-around joy to work with. We had a lot of moving pieces with our courthouse wedding (including a roaming toddler), and Becci (a) managed a hectic group and (b) got some rockstar pictures to boot. She is currently high up in our family's most-liked person list, which is a difficult list to be on.

Whatever your wedding looks like, Becci will do it justice and then some.

Fantastic experience!!

When COVID messed up our wedding plans, we changed to a local courthouse wedding in Hillsborough instead. We found Becci, and she was perfect! Responsive, flexible, and professional. We booked an elopement package with her. She was familiar with the area, and knew exactly where to take us after our ceremony to take some pictures and they turned out amazing! She shared the edited photos with us very quickly. Not to mention during the photo shoot, she helped us feel relaxed and captured some very genuine smiles. We are so glad we found Becci!

Becci is incredible!

Becci is a fantastic photographer! From day 1, she was professional, communicative, fun, and down-to-earth. We live in California, and she made the extra effort to meet up and get to know us when we were in town several months before the wedding. She was in touch with us before the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly, and showed up early on our day. She struck the perfect balance between directing us and just letting us do our thing, and the photos show it. Whether it was grabbing us water, patiently and professionally coordinating all the family formals (ha), or pulling out the essential Tide pen when I stained the front of my wedding dress (!), Becci was super supportive and there for us. And I haven't even mentioned the actual photos yet! They were absolutely STUNNING. We are thrilled by how beautiful they turned out and how she managed to capture the genuine emotions of the day. We just went through them all again and I nearly teared up remembering the joy and elation of the day and seeing it illuminated so brilliantly on our faces and those of our guests. I honestly can't recommend her enough -- we are forever grateful!

Absolutely the best!

We first met Becci at our friends wedding and quickly fell in love with her and the pictures from their wedding! A couple years later when it was our turn, it wasn't a hard decision about who we wanted as our photographer! Becci traveled with to Virginia for our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the photos. From our engagement photos to planning to the actually day of our wedding, Becci was easy to communicate with, relaxed and on the day of our wedding felt more like a friend than a vendor. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

Lovely photos, taken by a kind and professional team

We loved working with Becci for both our engagement photoshoot and our wedding! Becci is warm and kind and did a great job of putting us at ease throughout all of the picture-taking. Outstanding photos that beautifully captured our wedding

Becci exceeded all of our expectations (which were high, as I do a fair amount of photography myself and am also very particular about how I look in photos). She is incredibly responsive and easy to work with. She takes beautiful candid photos that captured all of the emotion of the wedding day without needing to spend the day posing for photos. We did a first look with her before the ceremony, and were able to be completely present with our guests during our cocktail reception and entire wedding while still getting plenty of outstanding photos of us from the event. Becci is also so patient and kind - she even sacrificed her yellow raincoat for me, laying it on the group to preserve my dress!! I can’t say enough good things. Thank you Becci, for capturing our event so beautifully.

Kind, flexible, fun, incredibly talented - the perfect photographer

We could not have loved working with Becci any more. She is the kindest, warmest, most thoughtful person you’ll ever meet. Not to mention the quality of her photos! We are obsessed with every single one!! Both the indoor photos and outside ones we received are equally beautiful and she really captured the love we felt on our wedding day.

Unparalleled professionalism, talent, and people skills

We cannot say enough nice things about Becci and her team! She was absolutely wonderful to work with! As two people who do not like to have their picture taken, Becci made us feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. She had us laughing and smiling- everything felt so natural! We also have an extensive family, and she took the time at the reception to take shots of each “combination”, without it feeling tedious and tiresome. Finally, as an out of town bride and groom, she made the process so easy. Becci was quick to respond to our many emails and questions while providing thoughtful and thorough guidance and support. We knew the first time we spoke with Rebecca, she was the one. And we couldn't be happier with her amazing talent! My husband and I highly recommend working with Becci after our experience with her as our wedding photographer! We loved how effortlessly Becci took the photos, which meant ‘picture time’ didn’t drag. It all felt so natural, not forced. She came up with great ideas for amazing and fun photos, and also was fully on board with our ideas of taking photos at places significant to our relationship on UNC’s campus. Her assistant Christy worked with the groom and groomsmen while they got ready - she really understood ‘dudes’ and took that into account when taking their photos. And of course the photos themselves turned out amazing! I give my absolute highest rating to Rebecca Ames Photography! She was fantastic to work with from start to finish. She was prompt in responding, hopped on the phone with me many times (as I was planning my wedding from a different state) and met with me and my husband in person. There are so many options for wedding photography out there, and I can honestly say that choosing Rebecca to do our wedding photography was one of the best and easiest decisions I made throughout the whole wedding process. She is kind, easy-going and puts her whole heart into capturing your special moments. It shows in the art that she creates! She approaches her work with the upmost care, showing up early, asking thoughtful questions, she was so thorough! Her intern, Christy, was skillfully involved and willing to help with anything on the day of. She captured some of our favorite pictures as well. Rebecca was calming to me when I was feeling the overwhelming emotional charge of the day. Being a bride who was slightly nervous about having the focus be on me, and having so many pictures taken of me, Rebecca's calm and compassionate demeanor set me as ease. After going through our wedding pictures, we cannot imagine that someone could have captured this day any better. If you had never met us or any of our friends or family, all you would have to do is look through these pictures and you would see each and every personality shine through. Rebecca Ames photography must have been in about eight places at once! It is also worth mentioning that she had a herniated disc in her back (we didn't find out until days later because she didn't want us to worry), but that didn't stop her from being on her feet for an entire day so that we would have memories for a lifetime. We also got all our completed, edited pictures back (over 2,000) in exactly 5 weeks. Judging by what we know about the industry standard, that is lightning fast!

Thank you for everything and making this day one that we will never forget!

Becci is an amazing person and photographer!!! We were so lucky to have her during our engagement session and on our wedding day! From the moment of contact, Becci was very knowledgeable and was a great guide helping us choose our wedding package. It was very easy to communicate with her as she was very efficient at responding to our questions and emails.

Becci's photo style was exactly what we wanted for our wedding photography. She takes amazing photos with a lot of natural light. On our wedding day, Becci and her intern were never intrusive and stayed from start to finish. Even though our wedding day had some rain and clouds, Becci was able to utilize the natural light to capture some gorgeous and romantic photos. Hiring Becci as our photographer is one of the best decisions my husband and I made during the process of planning our wedding. As we were planning our North Carolina wedding from NYC our communication with Becci was conducted via email, phone calls and a Skype session. She was always on top of her game, friendly and professional.
It was very important for her to get to know us as a couple and the photos bore the proof - in addition to capturing all the joy and emotions of the day she captured our sense of humor. She also did her homework when it came to capturing our day - she visited the church in advance so she could check out the lighting and she requested a video of our first dance rehearsal so she could be prepared to capture key moments - one of the best photos of the whole day was a moment she captured from our first dance.
In addition to her talent behind the camera, I can't imagine having a nicer person by my side on an important day. Becci's energy is exactly what I needed: warm, generous and genuinely excited for us without adding any pressure or stress. She seamlessly integrated into every setting, making our relatives and guests feel relaxed and comfortable. She was friendly and efficient when capturing all our family photos before the ceremony - we actually finished ahead of schedule and a number of guests commented on painless and fun it ended up being. With the extra time on our hands, Becci took my husband and I to a wooded area near the church to capture some beautiful portraits before the ceremony.
We knew that Becci was the perfect choice for us after speaking with her on the phone and every step of the process reaffirmed our decision. I expected to come out with a handful of really good photos from the day but Becci's talent has given us more amazing shots than we know what to do with - how lucky we are that she was there to capture this day!

Where do I even begin?! Becci is AMAZING! I can't say enough wonderful things about working with Becci- she was one of the best choices I ever made with regard to my wedding! I had a small intimate wedding ceremony at my parents' home with just my husband and our immediate families- 12 people in all- and the next weekend, we had a large reception at a venue with just about 200 people. I am so happy we chose Becci for our wedding photography. When the big day is long gone and our memory starts to fade a bit, I knew the one thing we would have to remember all the emotions and little details of the day is our wedding photos. So, to me, it was one of the most important things to get right. Becci ended up not only being extremely easy to work with, but just a delight as well. She is warm and welcoming, and makes you feel at ease in no time. I ended up coordinating my own wedding, so the value of vendors that are easy to work with can not be understated! Also, her photography style was exactly what I was looking for: soft, romantic, timeless, pretty. I knew the photographer I chose would be very important because you are essentially seeing the day through that person’s eyes. Becci’s personality is part of what makes her an amazing photographer. She has a love for beauty, honesty, emotion and laughter that shines through in every photo she takes. Her photos are beyond gorgeous, and her style of photography perfectly matched my idea of what my wedding would look and feel like.

I cannot begin to express how much I absolutely love our wedding photos. They are exactly how I want to remember our wedding. I cried when I saw them for the first time and still get overcome with emotion every time I look at them.

We love Becci! What more needs to be said? From her first email all the way through the ceremony and post-wedding production, she has been personable, timely, and professional. We looked at a lot of wedding photos beforehand. So, we had an idea of what we liked and didn't. She listened and got to know us and our likes/dislikes. We found her completely flexible with her photography to accommodate our tastes. Her responses to our emails and questions were always timely, usually within a few hours. She is very easy to talk to, and put us at ease when we showed up a bit nervous for our engagement pictures. We just received our final pictures from Becci and love them. Becci is the absolute best. Such a wonderful, talented photographer. She has just the right blend of pointers and direction, while still allowing photos to be casual and free. Rebecca Ames of Rebecca Ames Photography is a perceptive, innovative and unique artist, as well as a wonderfully kind, funny and upbeat friend to have on one’s team in any situation. I knew immediately that I’d made the best decision possible in asking Rebecca to be my wedding photographer as soon as Abe, my then-fiance/now-husband, and I met her for our engagement photo session at the North Carolina State Arboretum. I was a wee bit nervous on the drive from Durham to Raleigh thinking about what faces to make, what faces NOT to make, and how to act like there wasn’t a camera following my every move. My inner debate about how to look cool, calm and collected was not going well, but all of those anxieties evaporated when Rebecca took us under her wing and made the whole shoot not only stress-free but also fun! It suddenly wasn’t about looking cool or pretty, it was just about being together and being in love in an ethereal wonderland of flowers.

Next stop, the wedding. That crisp evening in September was one of the most exciting, magical, joyful and beautiful experiences of my life. It was also over far too quickly! Maybe there’s something to that old adage about time flying when you’re having fun, but it really did feel like just one single moment. I found myself wishing I could rewind the clock in order to savor each hug, each bite, each conversation and each dance. Rebecca made that happen for me in the form of a spellbindingly gorgeous and creative collection of photos documenting every second of the adventure from rehearsal dinner to post-reception sparkler send-off.

Rebecca Ames is in a league of her own. If anyone reading this testimony to her brilliance is hemming and hawing about which of our area’s myriad talented photographers to hire, do yourself a giant favor and choose Rebecca!

I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Becci and her work! Not only is her photography spectacular, but she is just a genuinely kind and loving person, who wants the best for her clients and who goes out of her way to provide them with a fabulous experience. After booking our venues, finding a photographer was the next step. I must have looked at 50 different portfolios, and reached out to five or six people. As soon as I corresponded with Becci, I knew she was the one. Her energy and joy is infectious (she uses a million exclamation points when she writes - just like me!!), and she got my vision right from the start.

We had an engagement shoot with her several months before the big day, which let us get to know each other well. We met for coffee and exchanged emails several other times between then and the wedding, so I really felt like Becci was part of my planning team, which was wonderful! She always made me feel like I was her most important client whenever I needed something. She also always responded to my emails quickly, and put all of my anxieties and fears to rest. She really just has such a calming presence, which is a big bonus for any stressed out bride. You pretty much instantly forget that you're being photographed, and just start to relax and have fun!

And the pictures!! We just got our wedding photos back (about a month-long turnaround time) and they are perfect! So much joy, so much laughter, so much fun! She really captures all of those little moments and details that you want to hold on close to. I love that our wedding photos capture the whole spirit of our day, instead of just a series of poses. They make me smile every time I look at them.

I seriously cannot recommend her enough! I'm sure we will continue to use Becci for any other photography needs my husband and I have, and it will be worth every penny. Best of all, I feel like I have gained a sweet, sweet friend. It doesn't get much better than that!

I am so happy that I chose Rebecca Ames Photography to photograph our wedding. From our first meeting, Becci was sweet, warm and genuine. She put in many sweet and caring touches over the 9 months leading up until our wedding. You can tell Becci genuinely loves what she does, loves getting to know the couples, and loves to make you feel special! The wedding photos blew all my expectations away. Becci did an incredible job with our wedding photography! We loved everything she did, both for the wedding photos and the engagement photos. She really wants to get to know you as a couple to capture a personalized perspective. She is incredibly talented and a dream to work with. I would recommend her to anyone and will probably use her in the future for more family photos!!

So basically, Rebecca is the most awesome photographer ever. She made both me and my fiance look wonderful even though we hate taking pictures :) She was super kind and patient with both of us even though we are the world's biggest goof balls. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer. On top of that she captured some of the most amazing pictures of the wedding. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

She was also super responsive to my emails/phone calls/texts etc. I would always here from her in under like 3 hours whenever I had a question. She was also super sweet and sent us gifts and candy and such (I'm a sucker for candy so that was wonderful).

Literally this lady is amazing. I can't say enough good things about her. She put every single one of my fears to rest, and was super great all around.

I first came across Becci's work while I was looking at Google images of the location we were considering for our wedding ceremony. I was instantly drawn to the image and clicked through to her website and ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE with her photography. We've told Becci that working with her was the best decision we made ...and there were a lot of them... throughout the entire planning process. She was a joy to work with, she's passionate about what she does, and she delivered PHENOMENAL images to us in less than 2 weeks time! It was very important to us to chose a photographer that would capture the emotion in our day, and when I look back at the photos now, I remember exactly how I felt in the moments she captured. The year leading up to our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Becci Ames. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, but she is a caring soul who is a pleasure to work with. From the moment we met her (very early on a cold December morning on the day of our engagement shoot) she was a friend. She set the tone for the year by showing us that wedding prep, taking pictures, and interacting with vendors could be a blast!

Equally important, she is a true professional. She is a great "director", who swiftly guided us and our (large) family through all the shots we wanted. This was ultimately a huge deal on the wedding day, where every second counts and you don't want to spend hours with photo chaos. This level of expertise was invaluable.

And lastly, the photos turned out beautifully. Whether its ordering individual prints or collecting our wedding albums, there seem to be an infinite number of great shots to choose from.

Thanks for being fantastic. We'll see you at the baby shower ;-)

From the first time we emailed Rebecca, she was wonderful with communication. She responded promptly and thoroughly to every email and phone call. She was punctual and professional every step of the way. She provided great suggestions of other venders who were also incredibly professional and affordable. Rebecca happily went along with all of our requests and offered ideas without being pushy or overbearing.

On the day of our wedding, Rebecca was just as wonderful as she had been leading up to the day. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. During the ceremony and the reception she was able to capture incredible pictures without us ever feeling like she was in the least bit intrusive.

On top of being incredibly professional and taking tremendous photos, Rebecca is just a good person. She was genuinely interested in us and in our families. Going forward, any time we need professional photos, Rebecca will be the only call we make! She has our highest recommendation.

Rebecca is absolutely everything you want in a wedding photographer! She is amazingly prompt and responsive, and she makes you feel at ease and laid back while she is working so hard to capture all moments of the wedding process. In a time where highly edited unrealistic looking photos are trendy, Rebecca's photos are timeless and perfectly soft and gorgeous. Everyone who sees her work falls in love with it. There are so many wedding photographers out there and I am so thrilled I snagged her! She is so optimistic, complimentary, and bubbly and you cannot help but fall in love with her personality. Rebecca was a pleasure to work with and we are thrilled with the outcome of our photographs.

Throughout the process leading up to the wedding, she was very responsive and reliable, and on the day of the wedding she was thorough, unobtrusive, and very easy to work with.

What else can I add to all the nice (and true) things that have been said about Becci's work? Becci is not only an amazing photographer, she is a beautiful lady and it's great to work with her. She is just sweet, and all that sweetness and professionalism, allows her to capture amazing images and make you look beautiful! Becci is the best photographer I know, hands down. I highly recommend having Becci as your photographer, not only for weddings but also for any special occasion you want to have beautiful pictures from. Our wedding was in Maryland, and she traveled from North Carolina to be with us! She arrived early (which was nice), and hired a new second photographer when the one she had booked got a family emergency. I never worried for a second, she handled everything and that is priceless!

I knew that when my husband and I decided on a photographer, it would be one of the most important decisions surrounding our wedding. This would be the person we'd spend the most time with on our wedding day (even more than each other), and we'd be trusting this person to capture our special moments and memories. Choosing Becci as our photographer was absolutely one of the best decisions we made in our planning process.

Upon view of her website, we knew that Becci's style was exactly what we were looking for--not overly posed, not too "out there" artsy, but somehow capturing the love, joy, and of fun of the moment in time.

Becci strikes a wonderful balance of being incredibly friendly and easy to get to know with being extremely professional and responsive. This is precisely what we wanted in a photographer--someone we'd feel comfortable around but who would be on top of everything. Our engagement session, included in our package, gave us the opportunity to spend time with Becci, which made having her shoot the big day even more comfortable and awesome.

Becci does an incredible job of being unobtrusive while getting the perfect shot. All throughout our wedding day, I was aware of her presence, but never felt like she was in the way or blocking anyone's view. Our guests commented that they felt this way, too.

And of course, the pictures themselves are breathtaking. She turned them around in well under a month from our wedding day, which was unexpected and very appreciated. In going through the photos, I was amazed how she truly captured the spirit of what was happening. Even though we have video footage from the day, Becci's pictures are what truly tell the story of our wedding.

I feel so blessed to have worked with her, and I can't wait until we have another occasion to ask her to be our photographer once again.

I met Becci a couple of years ago, when she did a boudoir shoot for a friend of mine. I was so excited about the work she did, that I did a full shoot of my own on the same day, totally unplanned! My boyfriend was deployed at the time, and Becci did a great job of meeting with me to put together an amazing album to send off to Afghanistan right away.

Since then, I have recommended her to everyone I know. A friend of mine had Becci fly out to Colorado to shoot her wedding in August, she also had boudoir and engagement photos done with her before then. Their photos were stunning!

My fiance and I were thrilled when she agreed to come back to Colorado for our wedding in November! She helped everyone feel at ease, and did a great job handling the potentially awkward issue of photographing my divorced family.

We hope that we will be close to Becci when we move into the next plase in life and have children. I can't imagine anyone else taking baby or family photos for us.

It probably sounds like I'm just rambling on about a friend of mine, but the truth is she has become one. When you invite someone to share such important life moments, it just seems natural!

Choosing Rebecca Ames Photography for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. She seemed to be everywhere the action was the entire day. She wasn’t shy about getting the wedding party together in fun spots for portraits, even getting everyone attending the wedding together for one big group shot (150 guests!). I appreciated her desire to get the photographs that we wanted, then going the extra mile to get the ones that we didn’t even know we would love. This was the best day of my life, and I am so glad that Rebecca was the one to document the love and laughter with her beautiful photography.

Choosing Rebecca as our wedding photographer was definitely the best choice we made throughout our wedding planning. She was recommended to us by another friend, and everything that we heard was true! Becci is a fabulous photographer with a great eye for photos and she can make you feel so at ease while posing. We also wanted a wedding photographer who shot more than just poses and that is exactly what Becci did for us. She captured some of the priceless candid moments and those are our favorite images. We were nervous for our engagement session but Becci made us feel comfortable and at ease so that we could take some amazing photos. More than anything we felt that Rebecca really was a part of our wedding and we wanted her to enjoy herself as much as our guests! She even flew back from NC after she moved to shoot our wedding here in Colorado. Overall, you can't go wrong when choosing Rebecca Ames Photography!!

Working with Becci was by far one of the best parts of my engagement and wedding. The photos of our big day were the one thing that
I never had to worry about once. Becci is enthusiastic and truly excited about her job and photography; she wants to know every detail about your wedding not just from a professional standpoint but because she actually cares about your day! I looked at a lot of different "styles" of photography and Becci's clean and organic approach is one that is classic and timeless which is hard to find in the current photography world. Becci was professional on our wedding day, I didn't even know she was there! She was open to specific photos that I wanted captured and was game for trying anything new and exciting (including making a "thank you" sign for our thank you cards. Becci's website sums it up, her photography is real and is of real people, nothing gimmicky. She is simply the best.

Rebecca did a great job with the wedding. We shopped several photographers and for the quantity she provided for the cost was the best. We have many magical shots of the days leading up to and the big day! She fit right in with the whole crew. Loved her so much I am going back to have her do the first year of life for my daughter.

Working with Rebecca by far was the best experience I’ve had with a photographer, she had great communication, great ideas, showed up early, and was super friendly! I got my photos in less then a week, and was happy with the way every single one came out. I couldn’t believe how professional and ready she was for my big day! Even after a couple of hours of shooting, when I was exhausted, she still worked with me and never stopped coming up with better and better ideas! I highly recommend her, and am excited to shoot with her again and again!

I recommend Rebecca Ames Photography to anyone looking for a top-notch and affordable wedding photographer. Becci shot my wedding last year and the pictures came out perfectly. Really? Five out of five stars perfectly? Yes. Here is why:

Quality of service: The variety and quality of pictures is unbelievable for the time we had her on site. I am not sure how she shot so many great pictures in the time allotted, but she's definitely got a feel for the moment and will maximize return on investment within the window of service. People think you need to pay an arm and a leg to get "real" quality wedding photos, but that is baloney. We checked out a long list of photographers and no one could come close in price or quality of work. She is the best deal.

Responsiveness: Becci was very good about keeping in touch beforehand and we were never in doubt she would be prompt and respectful of our time constraints. Afterward, she went above and beyond in helping us organize our pictures (there were SO many) and get them into the formats we wanted, etc.

Professionalism: Becci was able to maintain a light mood while keeping the time management ticking like a metronome. We had an ambitious slate of post-ceremony photo combinations (big families) and she got through them with ease and humor. Five stars, if nothing else, for being able to corral our crazy families.

Value: As I mentioned above, we simply could not find a better deal. We looked. A lot. No way.

Flexibility: Becci let the wife and me rattle off ideas for post-ceremony photos on the spot and was happy to do what we wanted, but she also provided countless great ideas of her own on how to capture the beauty and versatility of the outdoor wedding site. Before the ceremony she got tons of GREAT shots of the bride getting ready, but I cannot stress enough how natural and subtle of an approach she took here, just kind of behind the scenes. And at the reception she really did a great job managing the scope of our party, getting awesome shots of friends and family (and us!) despite the large number of guests.

Again, you certainly won't find a better wedding photographer for the price, and will probably have a hard time finding one period.
