We heard from several people that Publix was the place to go when getting a wedding cake. One of my best friends actually used Publix just a year before I got married and her cake was awesome, so we thought we'd go in for a tasting.

I was contacted by a woman at a Publix in Alpharetta, and she asked me when I wanted to come in. Over the phone, she gave me a list of the icing and cake types and asked me to put together 6 combinations. Hmmm...I don't know what your cake or icing looks like, so how am I just putting the combinations together? But I did it anyway.

We went in and met with Elvia. She was a really kind woman, and we went through everything with great detail. The colors of our wedding were black, white, and pink accents. So, we wanted a white cake, with pink flowers. We chose pink flowers to go on top of the cake, and chose the design. Everything was perfect.

About 3 weeks before my wedding, Elvia calls to tell me that the design we chose wouldn't work with our icing. I was wondering if Elvia had ever helped couples with cakes before. Didn't she know the design wouldn't work when we were with her for almost two hours? So, I changed up the design a bit, and she told me that would work.

The very next day, I get a call from Elvia saying that the flowers that we chose for the top of our cake wouldn't work. Really, Elvia? What is your job? So, she wanted me to come back into the Alpharetta store, did I mention that I live in Midtown. I basically explained that I was 3 weeks away from my wedding and had no time to come back out there. She then suggested that the baker do pink roses on the top of the cake. Wow, Elvia, when we were sitting there with you, what exactly were you doing? I couldn't believe it. She knew we wanted pink flowers on the top of the cake. Why was that never a suggestion.

In all, it's a great value for the quality. I don't really eat cake, but my guests and hubby loved it.

Their cakes are delicious!, but when I spoke with different people they gave me different answers, so ultimately I had to get my order completed by the manager everything worked out fine

Publix did a FANTASTIC job with my wedding cake. I picked a design, and then changed the colors to match my theme (black and white). The cake was delicious. Very easy and professional to work with. Cost about $300 for 3-tier cake to feed 100.

Very good cake! Publix have really nice cakes for those on a budget who want a nice cake. However, the more you add the more it will cost (ever little detail cost). But they were very willing to help I lived in Alabama and had to order my cake from there for an Atlanta wedding. They were very understanding and very helpful. In the end the cake looked really good. And it was pretty cheap to deliver and set up too.

The cake was average there was nothing stunning about it but everyone loved the way it taseted. Each layer had a different filling.

Loved the baker in charge of my order. She allowed me to bring a color swatch of what I wanted, matched it perfectly, and made me a mini cake to show me what it would look like! I would highly suggest using Publix for your wedding cake! It tastes...with buttercream icing:) Groomscake was delicious as well!!

We ordered both the wedding cake and grooms cake from Publix. They delivered on time and the cakes were beautiful!

Our cake was delicious, gorgeous, and very affordable. Definitely worth going here versus some other wedding bakers.

omg! the publix bakary, in kennesaw ga... was amazing.. something went wrong on the cake that i ordered somwhere else so we had to get a cake in 4 days before my wedding.. and publix was so cool about it and made a cake for me and had it ready on my wedding day. i wish i could remeber her name ,the lady that did it, but she calmed me down and told me that it would be ok and be ready! i will recomend your cakes to any one that needs one. thanks alot!

Their selection is wide and the cake was really good. I must say it doesn't save well though.
I was very happy with the cake and our guest enjoyed it too. When I told them where it was from they were shocked.

We picked our cake straight out of a book, which was easy for the bakery. It looked and tasted WONDERFUL.

My husband is a real sucker for Publix cupcakes, which is why we chose them for our cake.

We got a beautiful cake for half the price it would have cost at a wedding bakery.

Amazing - several comments of the best "wedding cake" ever! It was tasty and looked good! We decorated it with flowers and I was very very happy with the cake. To be honest, the cake was low on my priority area, but it went far above my expectations! I love Publix! They were easy to work with, prompt in delivery, and seriously, it tasted wonderful!

One of my mom's friend's came over the next day and helped us put the cake topper in the freezer. She was shocked that itcake came from the grocery store - because it looked and tasted that good! I can't wait to have it next year at our one year anniversary! And the price, can't get much better than that!

They were very flexible in making what I wanted work.

I found a picture of the cake I wanted in a bridal magazine and took it up to Publix. Together we designed an awesome cake, the talk of the wedding. Four layers of chocolate with pink ribbons around the bottom and the large "R" at the top. Truly beautiful. We got my husband's grooms cake from there also... Adorable!

We still have people telling us how much they loved the wedding cake! Publix is the best little secret of brides in the know. You'd be suprised who gets their cake there!

Publix has the best cakes ever...for birthdays, weddings, any type of party you are having! They are awesome and always taste great. They even delivered the cake to our reception site and got it all set up! I was definitely not expecting that and it didn't cost anyh extra! They were wonderful throughout the whole process....and WHAT A DEAL!!!
