I was very happy with the service I received at Madelyn's. I did not feel pressure to take the dress off and go on to the next one. The staff was there to help me. They wanted to make sure it was perfect for me. The alterations lady (Debbie) was wonderful and not over priced. There were a few minor problems but nothing that couldn't be fixed. She even allowed me to make a Tuesday appointment for alterations to work with my schedule.

For the most part I really enjoyed my experience with Madelynn's. My dress was perfect, the alterations were perfect, and the staff was friendly. However, there were some communication issues. When these issues were brought to the attention of the owner, she quickly fixed them even though she was sick. I greatly appreciated her help, but there should have never been a need to go to her in the first place. The last thing a bride wants to stress about is her dress! If you find a dress you love there go for it, but make sure you are communicating with them if you have to order it.

I LOVE Madelynn's! Their prices are great, and the service is amazing. Everyone was so nice. I live out of state, and they accommodated me seamlessly. The fitting process was so easy, and I found the perfect dress in no time at all. The alterations were perfect and the dress arrived on my doorstep in plenty of time for the wedding. I also picked up earrings to match and all of the necessary undergarments. Madelynn's is without a doubt worth the drive from Kansas City or other outlying areas.

I'd just like to add that my experience must have been very different from Ashely's. Like I said, I live out of state (I'm in California, but I still have family in KC), so all of my appointments were booked months in advance to accommodate my travel schedule. Everything went very smoothly and I felt like I was very well taken care of!

The store itself I did not think that much of them. The women there were not very flexible with the fact that i lived 2 hours away and had to plan fittings far in advance, but I loved my dress so much all that didn't matter.

I went for fun to try on designer gowns I saw in a catalog of Bride magazine. I saw the perfect Casablanca gown but when I arrived it wasn't perfect for my frame or budget. Like I said, it was for fun. My personal assistant asked for my budget and typical questions like date, locations and so on and helped me find several gowns I could take seriously. Since I did drive 2 hours just to play dress up. I found that you don't have to have a dress this very second and get sick over it like David's Bridal told me. I had 7 months. I found it the on and on top of it it happened to be a Casablanca. A season old but, for me I looked great and felt great and when a girl knows she knows. My budget was well under a thousand to for those out there thinking you can't do designer think again. By the way they help you in and out of your gown. It keeps you from getting frustrated and tired and your dressing room is wonderful its not like trying to get dressed in the back of a car its comfortable for you another person and at least 6 poofy dresses too. I also had my alteration last minute and the seamstress is also gold! I wished I lived closer and also wish I had more reasons to wear beautiful dresses everyday! They are the reason I didn't get stressed and felt like a true bride.

The owner still knows me by name and talks to me when I go into the shop! They are very helpful and willing to do what they can for a bride. My only concern is that they are not quite as helpful if you are not the bride. I have been in several weddings and you don't get as much respect from the staff when you are not the bride.

They did a great job in a timely manner. I didnt book an appointment for fittings either time and the squeezed me in which was great because i was already so busy!

They worked very well with the wedding party. They made the process of buying a dress and having it altered very easy. Plus the bridal party can get their dresses for 20% off. Wonderful deal. Huge selection of bridal dresses.
