I held my wedding reception at the Gramercy Park Hotel rooftop this month (June 2010) and everything from A to Z was perfect. While you might pay a premium to have your wedding there, you won't find anywhere else in the city that compares to the GPH rooftop when it comes to space/setting, professional event staff, food, service, etc.
