I know that Elegant Weddings usually does full event planning, but I actually hired Jacki, one of their directors for day of planning only. She was recommended by my friend Kate who would do a wonderful job as well if she was your director. Jacki was awesome. My dad kept saying over and over that she was the best money we spent. We thought she was just doing day of, but she was much more. She made up a detailed timeline for the weekend and emailed it to all involved. She set up a vendor meeting at my venue to make sure everyone was on the same page. She helped me find ways to save money. One great example was that the light quote I had gotten from the venue I used was for 2000 dollars, so I was going to scratch the whole thing. Jacki put me in direct contact with the lighting guy and I got a great package for 600 and guess what, he was the same lighting guy the venue used! The day of, she was such a big help and our rehearsal was efficient and useful b.c of her asisstance as well. I am very thankful to her. This was a great choice.

My guess is that Angela Young Proffitt is the next premiere wedding planner in Nashville. There are a few that you hear about, with fancy dress boutiques, and client lists that could double as the young couples directory for all of Belle Meade. But those ladies better look out because Elegant Weddings by Angela is on the scene!
My wedding is in October which is when I firmly believe I'll be able to add a fifth star to my review. Until then, here's why Angela gets 4:
One star for her organizational skills. I've got lists and spreadsheets a'plenty to keep me on track and stress free (well, as much as possible). We won't miss a thing with Angela at the helm.
A second star for her work ethic. I'm a career woman and I travel lots. It's not uncommon for me to talk with Angela at 9pm on a Tuesday or receive a diluge of email responses from her at 1am. I never worry that she'll get back to me with answers to my questions. And since phone calls are available with unlimited frequency under the package I purchased, she's always accessible and prompt with response.
A third star is for her connections. This woman knows loads of really fabulous folks. And she knows them well. When I described my vision for my wedding, I'm pretty sure she already knew which vendors I would pick, even though she gave me several to consider. That's talent! Plus, everyone I've met with speaks so highly of her and says that they enjoy working with her brides since everything always goes so smoothly. That's great reassurance.
A fourth star is for her attitude. We've had only one mishap with vendors for our wedding so far, and she was so lovely to manage my disappointment and come up with several other options that made my fiance and I feel really great about the replacement. She's great with family members and fiances and just super fun to be around.
Based on all of this, you might surmise that she's already the premiere wedding planner in Nashville. I'd say that assumption is not far from the truth at all. I can only imagine what great things the next few years have in store for Angela.

I can't say enough great things about Angela! She is so wonderful and my day would have been impossible without her. She is very professional, great to work with, and will do anything possible to ensure her brides have the most perfect wedding day! She is the best! Her assistants Michelle and Susan were also very friendly and great to work with.

Angela is awesome! My husband and I worked with her for ten months leading up to our wedding and I can't imagine having planned my wedding without her. I lived out of state, but even if I hadn't, it would have still been completely worth the money to use her. She knows all the high quality vendors, all the answers to every question we had, she's VERY responsive, she's so patient and understanding and only wants the couple to enjoy their day. I'm so glad that I didn't have to unload tasks on the wedding day to unsuspecting family members. Angela planned our entire wedding day from the tiniest things to the biggest things, and I didn't worry about a thing the day-of.

From the very first time I spoke with Angela, I knew I wanted her to plan my wedding. She has a keen sense for details and you know that when she's handling your event, everything will be PERFECT! She was not only a wedding planner to my mother and me, she became a close friend. We spoke almost everyday and we felt as though we were her only client. Every vendor we used came from her recommendation and we were not dissapointed with any of them. All of our vendors have a tremendous talent for what they do and Angela takes the cake in wedding planning. If you want your wedding to go off without a hitch, hire Angela for your event. Without her and her staff I don't know how we would have pulled our wedding off!
