After perusing a friend's proofs, I was completely aghast at the artistic quality of the pictures. They seemed amateur at best and looked like they were shot with a point and shoot camera. After reviewing the EXIF data, my worst fears were confirmed. These guys shoot in AUTOMATIC mode! What self-respecting photographer would even do that and with a Canon 5D? That camera is the weapon of choice for professional shooters and this company did not take advantage of the equipment's ability. they used kit lenses that neither provided exciting shots nor artistic ingenuity.

All the pictures were either overexposed, underexposed, poorly framed and composed, discolored, poorly lit, too lit, and overall horrendous. They don't know how to create a scene that tells a story and instead rely on cliched posing and did not let the natural environment dictate the moments.

After perusing their portfolio on their website, which by the way uses Times New Roman and COMIC SANS font, I was further shocked at the level of quality these people provide. I've always dismissed any business who uses those fonts as amateur and I wasn't surprised at what I found. There are misspelled words on the site as well as their data on THIS SITE!

I feel bad for the family portraits he took after seeing the two subjects half in shadow...That half in shadow were their faces!

I don't know if the previous reviewers are as blind as this group of "photographers" but there is no way you can think that their work is even close to being good.

I'm sorry for this rant but I am insulted by their claim of professionalism.

All these pictures here and on his website look like they were taken with a point and shoot camera...I'm sorry for whoever uses these people. Please take some classes. Your portfolio pictures are amateur at best.

I've known about Capturing Memories after visiting and living one season in Aspen, CO. They were the first company to come to mind when I was planning my wedding. After the first call I knew I made the right decision and we were well on our way. Brad and Jacqie are two talented individuals who bring ease to any situation. Their portfolio speaks for itself and their professionalism brings them to the top of any list. They were available and willing to travel for both our engagement session and our wedding. The amount of talent in the photos just shines as we got so many beautiful photos we can't even pick our favorites. Bravo and thank you!

We have known Jacqie and Brad locally but never had the occasion to use their services until now.
I knew how highly recommended they were so never even questioned the work they would do.
They were so professional and unassuming that you didn't really notice their presence at times.
Their photo ideas were memorable, which is what you definitely want.
I haven't had a chance to see all the proofs yet, but know it will be very hard trying to pick
the ones we want.

Also I requested a DVD from Brad with some of the shots so we could play it the next morning at
the wedding brunch. He came through with something great! The guests couldn't believe that
we had this little slide show going from the day before. How great was that!!!

The only complaint I heard was from the bride, my daughter, she knew she had to take pictures,
and she has commented on how great they are, but would have liked to get a chance to
dance more! And honestly, she wasn't really complaining.

If that is the only negative expressed, you can tell that the services rendered were just
the best.

These guys were all over it and did a great job at getting fantastic pictures. We were very pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

The one thing that I wanted to take away from my wedding were pictures of my family and friends. It was the first time that we had been all together and I wanted a keepsake of our special day. Brad and Jacqie took pictures of everyone! The photos were beautiful and creative...the best ones were the candid shots. They did a wonderful job and became part of the family. My sisters are still asking about them.
I would not hesitate to hire Capturing Memories again. You should too.

Brad and Jacqie did a wonderful job. They had a very distinct questionaire to fill out about the shots you wanted. My choice was to have a lot of candid shots as well. They did a great job on both.
My husband was really impressed with Brads professionalism. He wasnt pushy, but got the shots he wanted and was able to tie bows too!
We also had a video done. It was very nice to have and captured all the right moments. I really loved the interviews with guests at the end.

Brad and dave and (jacqie (for video) were so awsome not only did they work with my budget.... and help to fit
my needs, they went out of there way to help the guest feel comfortable and have a good time with the pictures...
the even stayed late to get a few more shots for me...they were on time..friendly..professional...and my pics
are awsome!!!!! my coffee table album they created rocks...i had no bad pics..its amazing..I would deffinatly recomend them to anyone

I would highly recommend Capturing Memories Photography for any kind of photography needs. They are extremely professional and timely. On our wedding day my husband and I couldn’t have been any happier with the calming effect they had on us and our guests. Everyone that has seen our album has been extremely impressed with how the excitement and emotions of the day were captured so well.
