We met with Rachel early July and signed and paid $500.00 of the $1,500 cost for 6 hours of wedding services. Rachel said she would send me the contract but I never did receive it. Late July my daughter's wedding was postponed-canceled due to difficult circumstances. I called Rachel immediately and she said the retainer fee was the $500.00 I had paid. Even tho I had still not received the contract. I asked her to send me the contract, and waited 2-3 weeks, and never did receive. So I drove to her house and she then printed a copy. I was disappointed the deposit(retainer) fee was the $500 I had paid. I felt like this was extremely high. She was unwilling to negotiate a lower price. I really was unaware what the retainer fee was. Unclear in contract. Also, canceling this early after just scheduling would appear she could get another photo-session on that day. I was disappoint with her lack of communication, as she was very hard to get a hold of. Overall I would not recommend her.

Rachel is great. I corresponded with her mostly through email while planning the wedding and she typically responded within minutes. I'm new to the area and she helped me by giving me recommendations for other vendors. I haven't seen our wedding pictures yet though the engagement pictures were great. She was very patient the entire day of my wedding deal with the little kids in the wedding.

Rachel was just amazing and I HIGHLY recommend her. My husband and I were searching for photographers and spent several hours on websites looking for pricing, but we got really sick of seeing *call for a quote.* Ambroja photography has the prices listed up front, which is just what we wanted. We looked through her portfolio on the website and liked how the photos were more artistic than just your posed images. We set up a meeting with Rachel and hit it off really well!

She attended the rehearsal for free so that she would be more prepared for the ceremony and she was unnoticeable during the actual event. An attendant came as well and was a great help to me (the bride) during the photos before the wedding. She helped carry my dress and held my flowers which just made my day more stress free.

The final photographs were just beautiful and we loved them! Rachel submitted one of our photos to a contest and made it as a finalist - as a way to say thank you to us she sent us a free 8x10 of that photo, which was a pleasant surprise!

The only down side was that the photos on the computer disk are only viewable, so we could not post them on Facebook or e-mail them to friends/family or print them ourselves. However, that is understandable as she does own the copyright to them, but we were just a little disappointed.

I worked with Rachel of Ambroja Photography for our wedding and would highly recommend her to other brides-to-be. She had a great package to do photography for our wedding. She arrived at 9 a.m. to take photos of me getting my hair done and didn't leave our reception until 9 p.m. that night! She took amazing photos of the whole event and captured some really special moments of not only my husband and I but our ceremony and our guests. She offered a lot of unique photos ideas while also respecting my wishes for particular photos I wanted taken. We also got a beautiful keepsake album after the event that I will always cherish. I know I will look back at my wedding photos in 20 years and not regret having gone with Ambroja Photography for our big day!

I really enjoyed having Rachel as our photographer. I was really impressed that she took the extra time to come to our rehearsal and to my home early in the morning to spend the whole day with me. She captured every moment that I wouldn't have expected. I can tell she enjoys what she does and it can be seen in her pictures. The amount of time she puts into her work makes the end result truly amazing. She catches the small simple things that no one else might notice, from the beading on my dress to the expression on my husband's face as I walked down the aisle. For these reasons, we will cherish our pictures together for the rest of our lives.

When looking for a photographer, I had an idea of how I wanted the pictures to feel. I wanted them to evoke emotion in the viewer. I wanted them to represent the feeling of each moment of the day. Looking at Rachel's portfolio sealed the deal for me. Her photojournalistic style not only creates a beautiful composition, but also captures the soul of each person in the photograph. She submitted a photograph of our wedding day in a contest and won first prize. It is beyond a "wedding photograph"...it's ART!

Rachel works with you to take formal posed church pictures too. My parents and grandparents wanted some posed pictures and she made sure to include some during our session. She was well organized and scoped out great spots to photograph us. We didn't have to plan anything out. Your wedding day is hectic and most plans will go out the window if you have to organize it yourself. Rachel kept us on track and took all the photos we wanted taken with different groupings of family and friends. However, in my opinion, the most beautiful pictures we took are the photos we didn't even know she was taking! She is quiet, calm and melts into the background. Rachel just photographs with little direction. Trust in her process and you wont be disappointed.

Our wedding was more than three years ago and I am still proud of our photographs and comfortable with our choice to work with Rachel. She is now photographing our children and taking our family photographs for which I receive nothing but compliments from our friends and relatives.
