Looking to rent burners for guests to make smores at reception....where?

Elizabeth, on December 20, 2011 at 11:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

My wedding is Feb. '13 and I'm wanting to have 'comfort' foods at our dessert reception. I've seen an idea online of a smores bar.... I've seen this on pinterest and would really like to find one. It's a row of open flame burners like bunsen burners where guests can make their own smores. I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have any idea where i could find something like this.

You can search on pinterest to see a pic of this as i tried to link to it and couldn't.

First, talk to your venue and be sure they will allow this.

Did you check Home Depot, True Value near the camping equipment? maybe even Bed Bath and Beyond over by their fondue pots

anyone crafty in your family that can build you the holder?

One of our 11/11 brides brought in that pinterest pic for a smores setup. My husband thought the sterno cans probably weren't safe as a flame for roasting food for consumption (they're sold as a heat source for water pans for the bottoms of chafing dishes). Instead we used a black tabletop Weber ($30 @ Home Depot) set on a round table, cute & it worked very well.

They must be safe, that is what they sell/suggest for the s'mores kits

The little weber sounds like a cute idea too. Smiley smile
