Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
Home Based
What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
We offer completely edited dvd's with your choice of styles. Can include B/W, Sepia, Graphics and more
Describe any special editing services you offer:
Black and White, Sepia, Graphics, Slow Motion, Highlighting, Picture in Picture
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
We use lights for the first dance and father/daughter, mother/son dances only so we can stay inobtrusive.
How many videographers do you work with?
We are a husband and wife team and you are always guaranteed to have one of us. We enjoy working together if we have only one wedding per weekend. We also hire three freelance videographers for second camera shooting only.
Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
Absolutely, but it is not mandatory. Many of our brides are from out of state and find it difficult to meet with us. Whatever you are comfortable with, we will accomodate.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We guarantee that your main videographer will be either Jack or Diane. You can always request either one of us. If we are booked, we have another freelance videographer that we will help you book through us if wanted - but you will always know ahead of time who your main videographer is and can see samples of their work.
Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
3 CCD chip mini-dv cameras. Backup camera, wireless lapel mic or digital recorder. Light for first dance. Projector/screen available
Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We don't really take a break. We are always available as long as dinner is provided.
Do you charge overtime?
Yes. We try to calculate hours before the wedding to avoid asking for more money on your wedding day. Therefore, most weddings will not require overtime, but if yours does, it is $50.00 per 1/2 hour.
Do you give access to your raw footage?
Raw footage is yours for free on the mini-dv tapes. All you have to do is ask. For transfering your raw footage onto dvd it is $25.00 per tape. (usually between 1-3 tapes)
Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for promotions, contents, etc.?
We will respect your privacy if you would rather us not use your footage for promotion/viewing. This is indicated on our contract. However, we do ask that we can use it.
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
Each couple is sent an "Editing List" along with their contract. We ask that couples fill this out and have this back to us before their wedding date so that we can create your video to your liking. We encourage input before we edit, but do not have a review.
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
We guarantee by 12 weeks of your wedding date. Most will take between 6-8 weeks.
