I would 100% recommend JLP Films to anyone looking for a videographer! I cannot say enough good things about Jacob. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Right off the bat he was so friendly and always answered my questions (and I had a lot of them) very quickly, even before I officially booked him. He let us pick the songs that he included in our video. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early to make sure he got shots of all of us getting ready. He worked so smoothly with our photographer that a couple people asked us if they were a team (they weren’t – we booked our photographer separately). He directed us well and had fun with it, so we were able to have fun too! The most impressive thing is that he got our entire video package to us in TWO DAYS!! And he kept us in the loop with fun previews as he was working on it too. But most importantly, the video was AMAZING!!! When my husband and I watched it together for the first time, we teared up. The picture quality was perfect, the shots he got were amazing, and he even dubbed in our vows over the music. He really captured our wedding day. It’s only been a week since our wedding, and I think we’ve watched the video about 50 times! One of the best pieces of advice I got when planning our wedding was to hire a videographer, and I’m so happy we chose JLP Films!

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to work with Jacob for our wedding, but we still wanted to share our experience because of how he handled an unexpected situation with so much professionalism and care.

We had our final meeting with Jacob to go over all the details, and our video call left us so excited — his enthusiasm for our wedding was clear. However, on the Monday before our wedding (which was that coming Sunday), he reached out with unfortunate news: his full-time job required him to be on site that day, and he wouldn’t be able to film our wedding himself.

Jacob could have simply canceled, sent a refund, and moved on — but he didn’t. Instead, he went above and beyond to make things right. He personally contacted other videographers to find a qualified replacement for us. He introduced us to someone fantastic, assured us that if we weren’t comfortable with the backup he would refund us, and even covered the new videographer’s hotel stay for an extra night. He also made himself available to assist with the editing process afterward to ensure our final video reflected our original vision.

While we wish we could have worked with Jacob directly, we’re so grateful for the way he handled everything. His integrity, accountability, and genuine care speak volumes about his character. Even when things didn’t go as planned, he made sure our wedding day was still captured beautifully.

Jacob is truly a class act, and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a videographer who not only delivers great work but also stands by his clients no matter what.

JLP was a fantastic videographer to work with! He's dedicated and talented at what he does, and he goes above and beyond to show that. As someone who knows a decent amount about photography and videography myself, I knew that I wanted to hire someone who is knowledgable in what they do, would have fun with it, and would be able to show the importance of our day, and he was able to do that (& more)! He was lots of fun to work with, made us both feel comfortable, and also worked super well with our photographer. All of these things helped our day flow super smoothly and he's great at communicating things leading up to your day so that you won't have to stress out and takes into consideration what's important to you to get filmed the day of the wedding. His post production turn-around time is also incredibly impressive and we were able to watch our wedding video right before we left for our honeymoon! If you are looking to hire a photographer, hire JLP- you won't regret it!
