Tips and Advice

Begin by scheduling a pre-bridal make-up appointment with an experienced professional cosmetic and skin care consultant who specializes in camera ready make-up application.   It’s a good idea to do this at least 3-6 months ahead of time.  Work with the artist to help create the look you have envisioned and that suits your personality best.

I personally create and design the bride’s make-up after discussing her likes and dislikes. It’s important to know what type of skin she has so the base treatments can be adjusted just for her. For example oily skin needs to be pre-treated before the make-up is applied so that it will last for the day into the evening.  Your make-up should be suited to your eye color, shade of hair and skin tone as well as your personality.  The time spent with your artist during the pre-bridal should make you feel comfortable and confident that on your wedding day your make-up will be photographically perfect. There should be no surprises. The bride-to-be must also remember her make-up must be adjusted due to the nuances of photographic lighting. There is a delicate balance between too much and too little.
