Nan was extremely accommodating and willing to work with me on my big day to make sure that I was comfortable with my make-up. The initial trial with her was very helpful and I had no reservations about my wedding day prep. The finished make-up on my big day was even better than I imagined it would be-it stayed on all day and was the perfect balance - stand out but not over dramatic, which is exactly what I wanted. My bridesmaids and my mom were also very happy with Nan's work and the timing of the make-up applications worked out perfectly! Overall great experience and reasonableducation rates as well!

Nan and team added a special touch to our wedding day. She was so easy to work with during the planning process - attentive, responsive, and prepared. All of my bridesmaids and family were so happy with their make-up and even made several comments about how lovely it was to work with Nan. She truly made me feel like the most beautiful bride and my husband definitely was blown away.

My daughter was married on November 29,2013. We had the pleasure of Nan applying the make up to the bridal party. Her expertise and professionalism truly made the girls look beautiful. I would highly recommend Nan for any special occasion. She was the right choice for us!

Nan rushed to the rescue when the scheduled make up artist failed to show up. Nan went above and beyond to ensure that all members of the bridal party had their make up done per their specifications. I can say with complete confidence that Nan applied my make up beautifully and did exactly what I requested. She was friendly and calm in a very chaotic situation. A crazy morning ended with Nan easing our minds and making us look stunning. Needless to say we were wedding ready, looked beautiful and photographed wonderfully. Thank you, Nan for your hard work and professionalism!

Nan truly saved the day! With extreme flexibility and skill she applied make up the day after thanksgiving to 4 bridesmaids who needed her in a pinch. She exceeded expectations making our makeup look flawless. I would recommend Nan to friends and family looking to have tier make up applied for any special occasion!

Nan did an outstanding job taking care of me for my son's wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was very relaxed with her services that she provided. Nan has done make up for me over the pasdt 13 years. I had a large bridal party which she was able to accomodate and she was local to me. My bridal party commented that they would use her services again as she knew how to applt the correct amount of makeup without making them look to done up. Prices are reasonable compared to ither potential make up artists.

Nan Whitehead has done my makeup many times over the years. I have very ruddy, red skin, but when she is done with me,I look flawless. Naturally when my wedding day was approaching, and I wanted to be my most beautiful, I turned to Nan to work her magic.

I can not compliment Nan enough for the fabulous job she did for my sister's wedding! Her make-up, including mine and other family members right down to our 10year old niece, was just fabulous and personalized for each one of us. Nan and her team did an absolutely outstanding job. There were 2 mothers; 1 step-mother; 4 bridesmaids; 1 maid of honor and of course, the bride. Everyone looked gorgeous and was thrilled with the job Nan and her team did.

Nan did a wonderful job of putting makeup on myself and Haley for Haley's Bat Mitzvah on April 2, 2011. She also showed me how to apply makeup so that I am able to do it on my own and recommended colors that go well with my skin tone, Nan also applied my makeup for my son's Bar Mitzvah back in May of 2006 and she did a wonderful job.

Nan and her staff are so talented! She accommodated about 15 of my bridemaids, family, and friends. They all loved their makeup and they photographed beautifully. I would recommend Nan to any bride. I was really impressed with her professionalism and creativity.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nan for her amazing work. I was married August 5, 2011 and Nan did my make-up. She was so caring, gentle and new exactly what colors worked for my skin tone. Nan makes you feel at ease and her professionalism is outstanding. Nan truly made me look like a princess that I dreamed of since I was little. My face looked flawless. I just recently received the proofs back from the photographer and in each and every picture my face is glowing. I had so many people approach me throughout my wedding saying how gorgeous and natural my make-up looked which made me feel great. I went to Nuance by Nan for a make-up trial for my destination wedding. I loved the way it looked. I bought most of her make-up and brought it with me on the ship. She even gives you a diagram on how to apply it. I was nervous that day of course so I had a friend do the make-up for me. It looked great, I got so many compliments.

Nan's overall professionalism is over the top! You can tell that her years of experience shine through. She was able to accomodate everyone in the bridal party(all ages that is!),including Mom,aunts and even very young girls that wanted a special added touch of some blush and lip gloss.After shopping around and comparing prices, you will find that in the end,you will have gotten more than what you've paid for; quality + value= 1 totally awesomely, beautiful wedding day!

Nan was a great makeup artist to have on my wedding day. She makes sure the bride comes first, she works professionally, and makes you feel at ease. I got married aboard a cruise ship, so we had to be ready early in the morning. Nan was pleasant to deal with and very accommodating with starting very early. At first I was nervous about all of us being ready on time, but Nan and the Jon Anthony staff were professional and made it an enjoyable experience. We all loved how our hair and makeup turned out.

Nan is one of the most talented and nicest make-up artists there are. Before finding Nan I tried 2 other makeup artists that were recommended by a friend who had just gotten married. Not only was Nan better, but she was actually a bit more competitively priced as well. Go with Nan, it's a no brainer, really.

I highly recommend Nan for her bridal makeup services! She is completely professional and made me feel at ease the entire time she worked on me. During the trial she listened to my skin concerns being that I have sensitive skin and suffer from minor breakouts on a regular basis and assured me her products are completely hypoallergenic and won't aggravate my acne. I let her know what kind of look I was going for- somewhat glam and romantic but still natural. She created exactly what I was going for and I was amazed how pretty I looked. On my wedding day I asked her to tweak the colors for my eyes just a bit because I really wanted them to pop and she happily obliged. My skin looked bright and flawless all day and night and it didn't feel as if I was wearing a ton of makeup thanks to her mineral foundation. I received so many compliments the entire day on how naturally beautiful I looked but what mattered most was the look on my husband's face and the tears in his eyes when I walked down that aisle. I never felt so beautiful in my life! Nan really works wonders..

My family has been going to Nuance by Nan for many years. Whether a night out on the town or for weddings, we are always more than pleased with the "services performed".

Not only are Nan and Carole incredibly talented, they are both very sweet. They make you feel very comfortable while they "beautify" you. They are attentive and offer honest advice on what will look best. My sisters and I (plus mom and bridesmaids) all had our makeup done by them on our wedding day. My wedding was on a Sunday and Nan was happy to open up the shop to accomodate us.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nuance by Nan look forward to my next visit!

Myself and several members of the bridal party for my brother's wedding had their makeup done by Nan and her team on 2/7/09. She did an excellent job as always. We all looked great! You could tell we had makeup on but it was not over the top, it was very appropriate for the event. She takes care to match your makeup to what you are wearing, your hairstyle and your skin/eye colors. Plus she is very flexible and extremely pleasant to work with (it was great that we could coordinate our hair appointments at the salon through her as well)! The makeup lasted from 10 am through the evening and looked great in all the pictures. We were all very pleased with the service and I would definitely recommend her to anyone for a wedding or whatever other special occasion you might need makeup for. I myself am a return customer -- Nan did my makeup for my own wedding back in 2002 and I will be sure to come back again for any future special occasions.

Nan was phenomenal! I cannot recommend her services enough. My make-up was beautiful and everyone associated with the wedding party who had their make-up done also looked beautiful. My wedding party had a number of ethnic groups and ages participating - fair Irish to Filipino and from age 12 to 70 she was able to accommodate everyone. She was on-time and on schedule for the entire event. She is friendly and personable and she makes you feel like a friend is doing your make-up while you are actually getting a true professional. I scheduled my trial for 2 months before the wedding and she was very helpful during that, taking her time to learn my make-up likes and dislikes. Many of the women in the party had no trial and all who got their make-up done looked beautiful. We also had a few individuals with skin allergies and no one had a reaction to the make-up she used. I still use the lipstick we used that day as one of my regular colors.

As "Mother of the Groom" - it was very important to me not to feel lost in the crowd at my son's wedding. Of course all eyes are on the bride, the bridesmaids and the bride's mom - I needed to feel confident and "on" and I knew Nan would be up to the task. She has worked with me for probably over 20 years - so I knew I was in good hands. There is never a "rush" with Nan - she confers with her clients, keeps their style and ease in application in mind so that when they leave her shop, they walk with confidence and sophistication. I received so many compliments that day - and I owe it all to Nan. Nan is the most flexible make up artists you will meet. She aims to please. She was patient with me (someone who wears minimal makeup) and was willing to try different shades with each request. She was a delight to work with.

Nan and her assistant did a wonderful job for me and my bridesmaids. Nan scheduled our hair and make-up appointments well, so everyone left the salon on time. When I met Nan for our pre-bridal consultation, I brought in photos that showed the "look" I wanted for my wedding day, and she completely understood what I wanted and made it happen.

On the day of the wedding, her service was the perfect combination of professional and friendly, and I was not at all nervous under her care. As for her work, her make-up application matched the initial consultation (so no surprises), and was picture-perfect throughout the ceremony and reception. It even lasted through the some tough heat and humidity! The make-up seemed heavy when compared to my everyday make-up, but once in a wedding dress, it suited me perfectly. Plus, the make-up translated beautifully in photos.

I feel very grateful for how Nan made me look and feel on my wedding day, and I highly recommend her!

Working with Nan was great! She was very responsive, professional and flexible from the start. She responded to my initial phone call right away, was able to schedule my bridal consultation at a time convenient for me and answered all my questions. She listened to all of my concerns and worked with me to find the right look for my wedding. I have even continued using some of the make up from her make up line. It was an overall enjoyable and stress free experience.

Nan was great!! She gave me an appointment even though I called only about a week before my wedding! She listened to everything I said and did exactly what I wanted! It was absolutely perfect! It looked totally natural!
My mom also had her makeup done by her assistant and I haven't seen my mother look more beautiful in years!
It's totally worth it!! You leave there feeling more beautiful than ever!!
