TESTIMONIALS

Thank you so much! Your music was beautiful! It was exactly what I wanted for my wedding. I really appreciate all of your help and would definitely recommend you to anyone!! Good Luck!

Elizabeth Zimmerman

Eric Roberts not only provided professional services for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, his flair and style added the depth and emotion which made the ceremony exceptional. In addition, Eric was flexible and open to work with a family member who, due to unusual circumstances, also played during the ceremony. I highly recommend Eric - his music is beautiful and emotive, he is responsive, professional, easy to work with, and provides a great value for the budget. I can’t say enough favorable comments about Eric.

Tyler & I just wanted to thank you for sharing your talent with us on our wedding day of 10/14 at Arrowhead. Our guests and us enjoyed your music, it added such a special touch to our ceremony. Thank you for your flexibility on that day--- with the rainy weather & our need to do the ceremony indoors. We wish you & your family well. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Tips and Advice

WC: After your success as a musician, what prompted you and your wife to start MusicMagic Productions and how long have you been in business?

ER: My wife and I started MusicMagic Productions when we moved to Colorado in 1999. It really started when a friend of ours asked us to play some music for her wedding. We then decided to make it into a full time occupation and it has just grown from there. Seeing two people unite their hearts in marriage with beautiful music makes both us and them happy at the same time!

WC: What genres of music are you best known for?

ER: I would say that we are best known for providing traditional classical music for wedding ceremonies, as well as Celtic themes, being that my wife plays recorder as well. I also perform a variety of styles, including brazilian, jazz, new age, pop and more. We always try to take special requests as well.

WC: Why do you think it has become so popular to hire live entertainment for weddings in the past few years?

ER: I think that there has been a general movement towards using live musicians again in a variety of arenas, not just weddings. DJ's and canned (recorded) music just don't provide that human element and "in the moment" musical performance, which can only be performed by live musicians.

WC: What advice can you offer a bride looking to hire a musician/musicians for her wedding?

ER: I would say that when looking for musicians for her wedding, a bride must consider her and her groom's musical taste and budget, and be open to everything they hear in order to narrow down exactly what they want for their wedding that will make the music uniquely theirs. I have had several occasions where brides are fixed on having a string quartet, not having heard the beautiful sound of solo guitar or guitar and flute, and they have quickly changed their minds on the spot!

WC: What is the most common misconception brides tend to have regarding hiring a musician?

ER: The most common misconception brides tend to have regarding hiring a musician is going for price first before really listening to samples of their music. I really think that a bride is paying for the quality of the music at their wedding and price should not be the first factor involved in making their decision.

WC: What areas of Colorado do you service? Do you offer your services outside of Colorado?

ER: We service mostly Denver and Boulder, but also perform in places like Vail, Aspen, Winter Park, as well as many of Colorado's beautiful outdoor parks and open spaces. We can also travel to the four surrounding states as well.
