Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I am an expert with Photoshop, where I am able to convert any image to Black & White, Sepia, selective coloring, and also clean up blemishes or unwanted aspects of a photograph.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I pride myself in finding the most flattering natural light possible in any given situation. Good lighting is the secret to a great photograph. I also use studio lighting when necessary or when it will add to the overall quality of the pictures.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot primarily digital, the quality and flexibility is unparalleled in this day and age.
How many photographers do you work with?
Typically one assistant photographer accompanies me to a wedding.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely. When you book me, you get me- no substitutes.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I have backup photographers in the case of an emergency.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
2 cameras, 4 lenses, 2 flashes, studio lights, tripod, and more.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I charge based on an 8 hour day.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Overtime is $150/hr. only if it goes far beyond 8 hours.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
None.
Do you charge for travel?
Depending on where I'm travelling to, yes.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Within one week.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
The custom website is up first, then 300 4x6's are available with 2 weeks.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Forever. They are yours to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I retain the copyright to every photograph I take, I do provide clients with rights to reproduce the images in certain cases.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Depends.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, I provide the option of purchasing the digital files.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
La Vie, Leather Craftsman, Viva.
When will the client get the final album?
About 2 months after the images are chosen for the album.
