About
Classic with a Modern Kick.
Your wedding photographs will be one of the most cherished things you will ever own.  As a bride myself a while back,  I understand the importance of having great photos.   Your photographer will be with you more than any other vendor on your wedding day in most cases  What an honor it is for me to be the trusted one to many couples.
My name is Mary Henry-Zeek and I have the best job in the world!   I get to capture couples in love at their happiest hour.
Last year, I earned the title of Certified Professional Photographer. Less than 3% of professional photographers earn professional photographic certification. Currently, only 17 photographers in Houston area to hold these credentials.
I like to describe my style as classical with a modern kick. This is the short way of saying your images will be truly timeless, appealing to you, but also appealing to your mother and grandmother too. Everyone is happy!! <br>
I am a member of PPA, WPPI,  TPPA and regularly attends courses, workshops, and seminars held by nationally recognized and respected speakers.

Mary at MH Photography is extremely talented! She did the photography for a bride of mine and the photos were so gorgeous I use them in all my marketing. She captures the right lighting, flattering angles of her brides, and gets all the important shots. PLUS she is so accomodating and personable. I look forward to working with her again!
Mary with MH Photography is wonderful! She not only takes fabulous pictures, but is one of the nicest photographers I have had the privilege to work with. I definitely would recommend Mary for your wedding!

Tips and Advice

Do a first glance.
Many brides these days are choosing to see the groom before they walk down the aisle.  Why do you say?  For a couple of reasons.  It offers the couple the inital surprise in a private and intimate setting.  Pictures can be done during and after the first glance, followed by formal portraits. This allows the couple to be able to go enjoy the reception immediately after the wedding having done all the formal portraits before hand.  Portraits done in this fashion tend to look fabulous because it is not rushed if well planned.
Have your flowers delivered and ready before portraits begin.
One out of every 4 weddings I do seems to have the flowers arriving at the same time or later than the start of portraits before the wedding.  Most brides nowadays desire formal portraits be taken prior to the ceremony (whether or not they involve seeing the groom).  This way, the only photos that need to be taken after the ceremony, are the ones involving the bride and groom seeing each other.  Imagine standing for formal portraits with your bridesmaids, without your bouquet.
Hire a wedding planner.
Planning a wedding is a lot of work.  Take the stress out of the wedding day and hire someone to worry for you!  Relax.  Have fun!  Makes for better pictures.  Services from wedding planners range from "day of" services to full service.  Experienced wedding planners will have earned their Certifcation, just as experienced Professional Photographers will have obtained Certification.
