At McRay's Professional DJ's, we cater to you 110%. You let us know what feel you'd like for you and your guests and we'll be happy to accommodate.
What is your usual attire?
We own our own tuxedos. You can see pictures of them on this site. We also cater to other non-traditional weddings. We've been known to wear hawaiian shirts to a themed wedding. It's your choice!
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
No, we always get what the bride and groom need prior to the event. If we don't have it at the time of the final consult, we guarentee to get it. We also allow up until the night before the wedding for last minute additions.
How many other DJs do you work with?
None ... at McRay's Professional DJ's it's our "names". Mick & Ray - co owners and co operators since 2005.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
4 Hours
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Absolutely. We always offer a free, no obligation consultation as soon as possible so that the bride and/or groom can get a feel for our personalities and learn about what we offer. We meet them again about a week or two before the event to go over all of the fine details.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
No, but we have performed at a few events with repeat clients of the Filipino descent and we've learned of their cultures.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes ... both sound and lighting are always included in our prices.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We have a large variety of colored lights for fast paced music as well as slow. We also have a fog machine.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
We require a minimum of 1 hour for set up time to ensure everything is properly set up. We also coordinate with your catering and venue staff. It is helpful that a table be provided, but is not mandatory. We finalize this detail at the final consultation.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We always have an emcee and DJ present. We don't usually talk in between songs. We announce when special traditions are coming up. Events such as first dances, cake cutting and garter / bouquet tosses.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No, the providing of meals are completely at the discretion of the bride and groom.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
There are always two of us at every show. If something were to come up unexpected, we'd have it covered with either one of us.
What is your overtime rate?
Overtime may be contracted at $100 per hour over the original time specified in the signed contract and must be payed in cash at the time of service.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Not if it's within 50 miles of our office. Anything additional can be negotiated at the time of the consultation.
