My husband hired Laura to capture his surprise proposal to me and she did an AMAZING job with that - we are so happy she was available to work with us again to capture our wedding! She was amazingly detailed in every step of the planning process and on the wedding day itself. On the wedding day, we worked with her, her second photographer (Francisco), and her father (Ronald). Even though staged photos can still be a little weird for us, she did such an amazing job making us feel comfortable and making it fun. Laura was an absolute joy to work with! Right from the start she was responsive and made us feel so comfortable. We used her for our engagement and wedding photo's and she knocked them both out of the park. I love her timeless and not overly "edited" style - I've never loved a picture of myself or my hubby more than the ones she has captured. I truly have no idea how we are going to pick which photo's to hang in our home because we have soooo many great ones to choose from. I'd recommend her a million times over again!

First, let me tell you how great and accommodating Laura Alpizar is to your needs. My plan for our engagement was to surprise my girlfriend, now fiancee, with the proposal while we were on vacation in Minneapolis. I am from Austin, TX and had only visited Minneapolis once, right out of high school. After some basic research I found what I thought was a great spot (my uncle later found a better one). Laura went out to both the original location and the new location after the last-minute change and took photos of where we should stand and where her family could hide to surprise her. Laura was super helpful in scouting the place out. I was blown away by the level of service she provided for such a special day.

Second, I want to tell you how great she is day of. As John Steinbeck puts it "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. No matter how carefully a project is planned, something may still go wrong with it." That's exactly what happened with our plans. My group, consisting of my Aunt, Uncle, and girlfriend, go to the park well in advance of everyone. Of course I am nervous as hell, and on top of that trying to text everyone where to be and how to meet up was making it 1000% worse. No problem for Laura, she just said I am here for as long as you need and for whatever you need. I was super concerned about that. My fiancee's family and friends were also running late, which put the pressure on me to, a, not blow the surprise (I'm horrible at that), and b, to coordinate with them and my uncle, whom none of them had met, to meet up and then hide for the proposal. Laura and her team never gave up on us and were able to capture some of the best moments of my life!

I hope this goes to say whatever you want to book her for you are in great hands. She will go above and beyond to make sure your experience is caught on camera and with you for the rest of your life. Look no further!

Laura was such a joy to work with! She documented our day perfectly. She made everything go extremely smoothly from the get go. We were planning our Minnesota wedding from Oregon, so some vendors were pretty hard to get ahold of due to the different time zones. Laura was always willing to chat and calm my nerves even a year before the wedding! She took beautiful engagement photos and made me and my husband feel completely comfortable! I thought he would be the one who was camera shy, but it was actually me who had that problem! I was so nervous having someone I didn’t know take my picture. Since Laura took the time to get to know us on the phone and during our engagement shoot, our wedding pictures turned out perfectly! She knew what we wanted, our best angles, and how to make us laugh and let go! I can honestly say that we will be using her to take our monumental pictures moving forward (anniversary, babies, etc). If you’re considering having Laura take pictures for any event, do it! You won’t regret it!

Laura is an incredible photographer! She goes above and beyond her duties to help make sure everything goes right for the special day. Before my wedding day she helped me with the day of schedule and was full of recommendations for other vendors around the Twin Cities. She helped my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera and was very professional in doing so. At the end of the day we felt like we gained a beautiful new friend into our lives. She takes incredible photographs and makes sure she gets the ones you will value the most. I love Laura and the work she does. Laura is amazing!! I was pretty overwhelmed by the process of finding a photographer, as having our memories captured well was one of our top priorities. After browsing Laura’s work and reviews online, I reached out and she met with my husband and I in person over dinner. We were immediately eat ease with Laura and she spent time getting to know us and our story. She did our engagement and wedding photos. Neither of us are super comfortable in front of the camera, but Laura gave us prompts and games which resulted in great photos where we looked natural and like ourselves. After the wedding, a number of guests made comments to me about how nice Laura was and how well she worked amongst everyone, not being overly intense about getting shots, but melded in with everyone and went with the flow. All of our photos turned out SO well. I feel like she really captured who we are as a couple. I’d definitely recommend her!!
