Larry James is an ordained minister (non-denominational) and has been a full-time professional speaker, author and relationship coach since 1987.

You are encouraged to book Larry James for your wedding as far in advance as possible. You need to know that the weather is terrific in March & April and October & November in the Greater Phoenix area and they are four of the busiest months for Larry James at that time of the year so call soon. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the time and date.

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site? Yes

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony including the vows? Absolutely. Every Ceremony is customized to the complete satisfaction of the Bride and Groom!

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired? Yes. They are called, "Personal Promises." They are encouraged to do so.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose? There is a list, however this is always optional. They can also provide their own readings.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done? No, however Relationship Coaching is available. Call for fee.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals? Yes. Rehearsals are included in the fee.

Additional Questions and Answers

There are two important areas of your wedding celebration where price should never be a factor. A mediocre Minister and a unenthusiastic DJ can wreak havoc at your wedding. A lackluster minister with a boring ceremony - like most of the others you've heard - can leave the guests cold and uninspired and if the DJ isn't a true "entertainer" the party can crash and burn. Your wedding reception DJ should be considered your "Wedding Entertainment Director." A great DJ determines whether your reception is a hit or a miss! The minister and the DJ should be the very best you can hire. I know its cliche, but you really do get what you pay for.

Perhaps the primary deciding factor should be who performs the most memorable and unique wedding ceremony for you and your guests and what other extras do they offer in their package that other ministers do not. This is your very special day. It will only happen once. I would never recommend that you make your decision on price alone. There are numerous other areas that you can cut back on when the $$s are tight. Larry's fee for a wedding ceremony depends on several things: the city, travel time, etc.

If you have the slightest interest in having Larry James perform your ceremony, you are encouraged to call to check availability. He usually books 6 months "or more" in advance, with a few open dates in between.
