Located in the DeLand/Daytona Beach, FL area, Koontz Photography & Design is a husband-wife team that is passionate about photography and about life. We truly appreciate the opportunity to share in such a special time in our client’s lives. We are devoted to producing high quality photographs, slideshows, photo editing, graphic design, and more.

We use a combination of photojournalism and traditional wedding photography. During the pre-wedding consultation we ask the clients to give us their vision of how they want their wedding photographed. If there is something that you’ve seen done, and you’d like it to be reproduced at your wedding, let us know! We listen and take notes so that We can incorporate your artistic ideas in with our own.

We like to capture subjects in a very fun, natural, and romantic way that tells your story. We provide a warm friendly atmosphere, and make sure to customize each job to the individual. We know how important photographs are in our client’s life, and we strive to capture the best images that will keep you looking back at them for years to come!

Wedding Portraiture	I have been a huge fan of Koontz photography for years and am always checking their gallery's for their newest works. It is all so bright, fresh, and inspiring. Few people have the talent to truly capture the spirit of a wedding, but this duo does it beautifully.

To make group photos easier and faster, it’s nice to have someone designated to identify people/objects of whom/which specific photographs are desired

The more time that you give us for group or individual photos, the better the results. We recommend at least 30 minutes before the wedding and 60 minutes after the wedding. But again, the more time that you can give us, the more that we can give you in return!


The photographer is limited by the guidelines of the ceremony official or the reception site management. It helps to know these rules (i.e. "no flash during ceremony" beforehand)

Because of the fact that flashes from guest’s cameras may ruin shots taken by us, it's recommended to notify all of your guests that guest photography is not permitted during the portraits. This saves time and confusion
