Kalijo Works Incorporated is a one-stop client-oriented studio where all the custom "work" is put together by hand and created according to your guidelines. We think of our clients as the actual designers. Our role in the design process is really more of an assistant. The main objective has always been to help make your designs come to life and to do so in the most economical way without compromising the integrity of the original idea. We encourage you to exhibit your personal style with the Envelopments® Mix and Match line. Color swatches and sample designs are available for online viewing. However, we recommend that you make an appointment with us so that you may see and feel the Envelopments® line in person. If you get overwhelmed by all the possibilities, we try to simplify the process by suggesting colors and designs that are in line with your general ideas. Our custom designs include invitations, announcements, save-the-date cards, programs, postcards, placecards, menus, favors, tags, candy wrappers, labels, magnets, and tins to name a few. Kalijo Works Incorporated feels that every event, no matter the size, is an opportunity for creativity. What is the order process for custom orders? 1) DETERMINE BUDGET - Start on that notorious guest list now. It will save you A LOT of heartache in the end. Figure out how much you can afford per invitation based on the number of guests (even a rough count will help) and your budget. 2) PICK STARTING POINT - More often than not, it is a color or two that is the focus of the design. Other times, it’s a locale (the first meeting place, a favorite restaurant or travel spot, etc..), a line from a poem, a picture, a season, or even ethnic backgrounds of the couple. It can be anything. Here’s your chance to show your creativity! 3) CHOOSE COLOR(S) - Go crazy. Pick as many as you want. Don’t limit yourself. Remember that you can also incorporate color with your print or any images that you want to include in the design. We recommend that you either make an appointment to see the swatches and styles in person. If that’s not possible, your best bet would be to order a mini-swatch deck or a swatch strip from our website. It REALLY helps the design process to see the card stocks in front of you. 4) ORDER CUSTOM SAMPLE - Kalijo Works recommends that you purchase a sample invitation before placing an order. It is the best way for you to know whether our product will meet your expectations. There is nothing like seeing what your actual invitation will look like BEFORE you place an order. Custom samples can be ordered by emailing the order department at orders@kalijoworks.com. The cost of each custom sample is $50. This covers the cost of the materials and shipping. If you decide to place an order, the amount $25 will be credited to your order. 5) FINALIZE DESIGN AND DECIDE ON WORDING - You can either choose something from our "kalijo past gallery," be inspired by the "Envelopments® gallery," or do a completely custom job. Please include names and dimensions for all your inserts and any layers you may want to add. We will work with you one-on-one to help make your vision come to fruition. 6) APPROVE PROOFS - You will be sent proofs as .pdf files by email, mail or fax. If requested, you will also be able to see your proof online. A design proof for each item in your order will be sent to you for your review and approval. It will take approximately three weeks FROM the date we receive your final approvals to complete your order. Please allow more time for complicated and large orders. 7) PAY FOR ORDER (NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING COSTS) - Once you’ve decided on your design and have finalized the wording for each piece of the invitation, it is time for payment to begin production. We currently accept personal checks, money orders and PayPal. Please allow 5-7 days for personal checks to clear. There is a $25 charge for returned checks. No refunds will be given after this point. 8) PAY FOR SHIPPING - After your job is completed and weighed, you will be requested to pay for the cost of shipping via USPS PRIORITY MAIL. The payment of shipping is required before your order will be shipped to you. How do I place an order for Envelopments® Mix and Match only? Just email us with the type, size, color and quantity of the items that you are interested in and we’ll get back to you with a quote. If you are interested in placing an order, just let us know. Please consider processing time below when you place your order: 1) Kalijo Works - We place your order by the next business day or sooner depending on the time of day and method of payment. See "What forms of payment do you accept?" below. 2) Envelopments® - Envelopments® has been averaging a process time of 5 days. This means it may take them up to 5 days to place the order and have your materials ship out. After that, they will ship your order by the method you have selected (i.e. UPS Ground, 3-Day, 2-day, or Next-day). Please consider the possible 5 day process time on top of your chosen method of delivery. How do I request a quote? Can I get swatches from your website? Sure. Just click on the "kalijo custom inquiries" button on the left-hand side and fill out the form accordingly. The cost per custom sample is $50. This covers the cost of the materials needed to create your custom sample and the cost of mailing it out to you. If you place an order through us, the amount of $25 will be credited to your final invoice. What kind of printing do you offer? At this time, we offer pigment ink, color laser, off-set and thermography printing. Pigment ink and color laser printing are done in-house and have the quickest turnaround time. Off-set and thermography print jobs are sent off-site. Your preference and budget will determine which options are best for you. What is the time frame for pigment ink and color laser printing on Envelopments® products? All pigment ink and color laser jobs are done in-house and have the quickest turnaround time. The whole process takes about 3-4 weeks. 1) 7-10 business days for the materials to come in. 2) 5-7 days to print, cut & assemble. 3) Shipping time via USPS or UPS. What is the time frame for off-set or thermography printing on Envelopments® products? All off-set and thermography print jobs are done off-site. The whole process takes about 9-12 weeks. 1) 10-12 business days for the materials to come in. 2) 10-12 business days to print. 3) 10-12 business days for UPS Ground to us. 4) 5 business days for assembly. 5) Shipping time via USPS or UPS to you. Do you offer assembly services? How much assembly is required on my part? Can you print my guests’ names on the outer envelopes for me? Sure. Send your guest list to orders@kalijoworks.com as an Excel spreadsheet or Word document. All envelopes are printed in color laser ink. Is there a fee for custom-designed candy wrappers? Yes, completely custom designed wrappers take some time to design. The cost for designing from scratch is $15. The cost of each custom design wrapper also varies. It depends on the amount of ink used per wrapper and can range from $.50 to $1.00. Please email us for a quote at orders@kalijoworks.com. Who is responsible for shipping charges? It depends on the order. 1) For Envelopments® non-printed paper orders, Ground shipping is free for any order subtotaling $150 or higher. Otherwise, the client pays for any shipping charges incurred. NOTE: There is an additional $5 fee for drop-shipping non-printed orders directly from the warehouse. 2) For Kalijo Works custom orders, the client pays for shipping charges before the completed job is ready to ship. 3) For favors and other items, the client is responsible for any shipping charges incurred. Do you charge sales tax to out-of-state sales for your Envelopments® orders? FOR NON-PRINTED ENVELOPMENTS ORDERS: It depends on where you are located. The appropriate sales tax is charged to NY locations. All other states are exempt. FOR PRINTED ENVELOPMENTS® ORDERS: No sales tax is charged for non-NY orders since the materials will be shipped to us directly and then the finished product is sent to you from NY. What forms of payment do you accept? At this time, we accept payment through PayPal (preferred), money orders and check. Orders are not placed until payment is received and cleared by the bank. Please keep in mind the extra time need for mailing and clearing money orders and checks before placing your order. 1) PAYPAL - Payment is instantaneous. Orders are placed by the next business day or sooner. 2) MONEY ORDERS - Orders are placed once the m.o. is received. Method of delivery may get your orders processed more quickly. 3) CHECKS - Orders are placed once the check is received AND cleared by the bank.
