Located in Brick, New Jersey, J & R Guarino Photography is a family owned business. We have been capturing and preserving treasured moments since 1988.

We have a very unique style of Photography, combining Fine Art Portraits and Artistic Photojournalism.   I pride myself in giving each and every bride my special attention to posses so we can capture there most unusual and unique style.   My goal is to capture your wedding just as you have always planned it.    All weddings are unlimited hours, unlimited pictures and two photographers,  and only one wedding per date.   All packages include on-line viewing.   Most packages include Custom designed hard cover proof books, custom designed albums, engagement sittings, with custom sign-in books,  and an array of different items to choose from.     I guarantee that I  (Rene), along with a second photographer and an assistant,  will be your photographer at every event.    We have a strong passion for our photography and we love what we do.   All packages are color, black and white,  and sepia.   All packages will have approximately 1,000 to 1,500 images and delivered to you in our own special custom proof books, which are yours to keep.    Our album designs are all hand drawn and custom designed,  upgraded leather,  flush mount  albums , which you will get to approve before it goes to print.    We welcome your visits, so please make an appointment for an free, no-obligation, consultation to  see our work and discuss different packages.   We have many packages to choose from, with an budget to suit every one needs. 

My style is best described as "different".   Every bride that I work with is unique, and every shot that I take is different from the last.   I have developed a dramatic look and a colorful style that not  only brides love, but more importantly, that I enjoy creating.    I love to create that magical image or story albums for our my clients.

   I take the time to get to know each and every couple so that I can portray their unique chemistry.   On the day of the wedding, I stay calm and focused.   Behind the scenes, I conjure up stunning images through composition of light, shape and design, creating images that are heartfelt within the spontaneity of each and every moment.   I feel honored to compose the visual tale of your most special day.  Do not take your chance on the "The Day of Your Life".   All the beauty, preparations, efforts, and details will vanish in time if they are not skillfully and tastefully captured.

Photography Details

How would you identify your photographic style? We do both Fine Art Portaits and Artistic Photojournalism

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning? All portraits are hand-retouched, and we use a conbination of color, sepia toning and black and white

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? Softlight, Overcast, Sunny, Candlelight, Available Light

Is your media preference film or digital? We are 100% Digital

How many photographers do you work with? All Wedding Packages include Two Photographers, unlimited hours and unlimited photos.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? I myself, guarantee my presense at every Wedding/Event. You will meet me from the beginning and feel secure that I will be at your wedding, engagement session.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend? We only Photograph One Wedding per day, each bride will receive 100% of my attention throughout her day.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day? Yes, we have a replacement photographer on call, in case of an extreme emergency.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of? My Cameras are All Cannon. I have many camera's with me at all times for each wedding. My Camera of Choice, is the Canon 5D and the Canon Mark III.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction? I have 3 Cannon 5 D's Camera with me at all times, 2 Canon Mark III, and my second photographer, also, uses Cannon 5D.

Do you charge hourly or full day? Our prices are based on the entire day, unlimited hour, unlimited photos, which include 2 photographers, & assistant

If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime? Our prices are based on the entire day. unlimited hours

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal? Yes, a typical day is 12+ hours, so a meal is required

How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day? Only to have a meal

Do you charge for travel? No, within reason

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing? Your proofs are ready within 3 weeks, the time frame includes, photos being touched up and also included on line as well as the actual proof book.

In what format are the initial proofs offered? Hard Cover Bound Proof Books, containing every picture taken that day and also On line Proof. This service is included in every package. A typical wedding is around 1200 pictures.

How long can the couple keep the proofs? The Hard Cover Bound Proof Book is yours to keep and treasure, included in all packages.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos? The copyright releases and images are available for a nominal fee after the album is received.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos? Yes, but I will respect the Brides wishes, if she choose not to have them published, then I will honor her wishes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple? Yes

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery? Yes, Images are displayed on line within 2 weeks for viewing, sharing or purchasing.

What kind of albums do you offer? Digital Flush Mount Albums, (all customed designed and hand drawn, Matted Albums, Coffetable Albums, All my albums are with upgraded leather choices. I hand design each album myself , and the bride and groom, will review it on my computer before it goes to print.

When will I get the final book? After you have pre-viewed and approved your album designs, the finished album is within 3 weeks.

How long does it take to deliver a book? Once you review your album designs, the book is delivered within 3 weeks

Videography Details

What primary style, such as traditional or documentary, do you identify with? Traditional, Artistic and Combination, of Fine Art Portraits and Artistic Photojournalism

Are you a commercial studio or home-based business? Home Based Business with studio attached to home.

What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer? All Video are delivered totally edited, with special effects, black and white, titles etc.

Describe any special editing services you offer: Are editing is done with Computer Graphics

Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event? Usually one small light is sufficient since we have very high end Video Cameras

Does the bride get to meet the videographers before the wedding? Yes

How many videographers do you work with? Two

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? Yes

Do you book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend? One Wedding per day, every bride gets 100% of our attention.

Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day? Absolutely yes,

Is the bride involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the bride have in editing? Yes, she may choose custom music, graphics.

How long does it take for the bride to get the video? 6 weeks
