My husband and I had Josh do our engagement, ceremony, and reception photos. We were beyond impressed with Josh! He is so friendly, and immediately made us feel comfortable. He really knows how to capture the beauty and energy of a moment. It's a lot less standing around doing uncomfortable poses, and more interacting with each other and your guests in an organic, fun way, all with Josh capturing everything. Our guests also loved Josh, and many remarked to me how professional and engaging he was. For what it's worth, he's great act capturing scenic landscapes, if you are looking for a more earthy feel to your photos. He gets a ten out of ten from me!

Josh felt just like family. He made the experience super natural and I never felt poised for a photo. His style has a raw, artistic, candid feel and you'll receive the classic photos along with some really heartfelt photos where so much emotion was captured. I would highly recommend Joshua Behan Photography to anyone looking for a talented and unique photographer in/near Rhode Island.

We LOVED our wedding photos and our experience with Josh. We captured our day so perfectly and was such a joy and pleasure to work with! To say that he were excited about the portfolio he provided would be an understatement. He was even available for us for the rehearsal dinner. It was an a total pleasure to work with him. Josh and Amanda shot our wedding in October and were by far the best investment we made into our wedding. Immediately upon seeing his portfolio on his website, we were blown away by the portraits and loved how he seemed to capture the personality and energy of the weddings he shoots.

Josh was extremely professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the planning process. He was quick to respond to emails for a prompt booking and even checked in periodically throughout (which was a great comfort since other vendors seemed to have forgotten about me unless I contacted to confirm details etc). Before the wedding, we talked about what my husband and I were expecting, our personalities and what our priorities were for pictures. We emphasized that we wanted to enjoy our wedding and not spend valuable time taking posed pictures, which was perfect for Josh's style.

The day of the wedding, Josh and Amanda were on time, helped to manage the videographer (at my request), quietly moved the bridal party mess out of the way for informal pictures. Josh was a really welcome calming presence and he and Amanda are that exact energy you want to have on the day of - no rushing you, no nervous energy, and calmly but diligently helping to corral my rowdy family. I felt like they were always near me, and yet they were somehow also off capturing beautiful candid shots of our guests. Our Thank you cards we ordered through him were beautiful, great quality, and worth the cost.

I can't emphasize how STUNNED I was by the pictures - over 1200 shots that were pure raw beauty - there were not 300 pictures that you never want people to see like other photographers send. I asked him to capture my grandparents, as my grandmother was ill and passed away several months later. He captured such beautiful shots of her, my grandfather, her personality and our relationship and our family absolutely cherishes these pictures now.

I cannot recommend Josh (and Amanda) highly enough!

Josh was fantastic! We have only seen a few of the preview shots so far but they are amazing. He has a terrific eye and was wonderful with our guests. He did a great job of anticipating shots and anytime during the day that I found myself thinking "this would be a great picture" I would look up and see him positioned and taking the shot. We would absolutely recommend Josh!

Breathtaking pictures! They look like they belong in a magazine! Josh and Amanda did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding pictures. They really documented the day, and didn't try to "create moments" like other photographers do. They captured the raw emotions and the true romance of the day. We got our discs (over 1400 gorgeous photos!) about 6 weeks after the wedding and had our album within a couple months, A LOT Faster than other photographers, who sometimes take over a year to get the finished product. Josh is always responsive to calls and e-mails and worked with me to lay out the album of my dreams! I highly recommend Josh Behan Photography.

We had an untraditional idea for our engagement photos (romance-novel themed) and of course they came out ridiculous (as we'd hoped they would), but Josh also made them beautiful. We were so happy he was up for something like that.

Josh and Amanda came to photograph our wedding, and they were amazing the whole day. It rained buckets and buckets but Josh made the most of the weather and took us outside for some great photos when the rain temporarily stopped. He did a great job with all the interior shots even though our venue was very dark. Josh and Amanda worked so hard all day long and took tons of photos and captured so many special moments, we were so impressed with them and so glad to have them there!

We have only seen a preview of our wedding photos, but we are blown away. They are stunning and full of emotion. So many of guests and friends have commented that they are the best wedding photos they've seen.

I did alot of research on photographers in the RI area and in my opinion, Josh is the best! Somehow he is able to capture what's unique about each wedding, and we are SOOOO glad we chose him for our photographer!

I have only seen about 50 photos as he's doing the rest, but he is an utterly talented, professional photojournalistic wedding photographer. He's friendly, invisible, and THERE. His photos are incredible and are well worth the cost!

Josh is simply an amazing photographer. I am so thankful that I stumbled on his web site when I was looking for someone to cover my wedding on Block Island.

His pictures are not just beautiful, they are artistic and creative. I don't know how, but Josh was able to capture the emotions and souls of everyone on that perfect September afternoon. He has a gift. I have spent a fortune buying frames because I love so many of the shots he took.

When I share my pictures, people are truly amazed and want to know how I found him. Pure luck. Those at the wedding, couldn't believe how unintrusive and professional he worked. Most people didn't even know he was taking their pictures!

He spent the entire day with my family and friends- took a ferry out early in the morning, started shooting by 10:30 and didn't stop until he left on a 6:30 ferry that night. Other photographers charged the same price for only four hours!! I figure it was a 12 hour day for him. I'm not exactly sure of the number, but I think we got over 800 pictures.

Honestly, other than saying "I do" to my husband, Josh was the best decision I made on my wedding day.

Josh paid close attention to my requests and followed through on them. He was very flexible and really thought quickly on his feet, coming up with new ideas along the way. He was very professional and was able to catch a lot of the action as well as the important moments of the wedding. He has a very artistic eye and his wedding photography is not the traditional wedding photography. Every photo is a work of art.
