If requested, but this is not our style.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Yes, a lot of experience. We use lots of off-camera strobes to accent our images and use natural light when it's perfect. Often we use both during couples portraits.
Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
I have a team of Associate Photographers available for weddings in Colorado and California.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Clients get the photographer they specifically booked (either me or a particular Associate).
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Yes, but only in cases where the two events are low in size and complexity.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
There is a circle of close-knit photographers in Colorado and we can call on each other should the need arise.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
3 camera bodies as well as a fourth backup body, about a half dozen lenses, and 4 to 6 flashes. And then lots of other goodies.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Both.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. Rates vary.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I do not require a meal break, but it's awfully nice.
Do you charge for travel?
Depends
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
6 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Online JPEGs.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The online JPEGs are available for 3 months. Clients get full resolution JPEGs at 6 months or upon completion of album, whichever comes first.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I retain copyright but transfer a personal use license to the clients.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes
What kind of albums do you offer?
Only the highest quality flushmount coffee table books
When will the client get the final album?
Design is 6 weeks and production is 6 weeks in most circumstances.
