Phil was wonderful! Great communication, inventory/equipment, and very kind! Great price. We are very pleased with how he MC'd our reception, and included all our song requests. He did a great job, and we highly recommend him! Our brother-in-law and his fiance are now using him for their wedding reception too. What I loved about our reception is that people actually danced! I know that that was definitely thanks to Phil.

I was very pleased with Phil from A+ DJ Service. We had some unexpected requests that I didn't put on the wedding planner and he was very easy to work with. He gave a copy of the songs I requested on a disc so that I may enjoy them long after the wedding and I really appreciated that. I would recommend him to anyone!

When I booked A+ DJ service 6 months before our wedding, Phil was a dream to work with. Very personable, very interested in the wedding, and had some great ideas. I was really happy with our selection.

Two weeks before the wedding - something happened. I don't know what caused the change, but that personable person no longer existed. Instead, he was replaced with someone who shot off dollar signs instead of words.

I emailed Phil two weeks before the wedding, two weeks after I sent my final playlist and reception planner. He responded and said that he had never received them. I resent via email, not a big deal. However, he said that if I wanted to speak to the DJ who would be assigned to my wedding, I would have to pay an additional fee. He said that his DJs have full time jobs and do not have the time to meet with clients. They advertise as a full-time professional DJ service. I think that it is reasonable that I meet my DJ before my wedding day. Instead of speaking to my DJ, I went through the name pronunciations, music choices, and planner with the owner, who said that he would pass on our conversation to the DJ. My other request was that the DJ arrived early enough to be set up one hour before the reception, as our ceremony was at the same place and I did not want him to sound check during the ceremony. Once again, I thought that this was a reasonable request. Instead, he says that I will have to pay him travel time if I want him there on time to set up, otherwise he is not going guarantee that he will get there to set up more than 5 minutes before the reception. They advertise that they are a mobile DJ service, serving all of NC. If I were going to a meeting across the state - I would not tell my client that they need to pay to ensure that I get to the meeting on time. It was a ton of extra add on costs, and stress, that i did not need 2 weeks before the wedding.

The day of the wedding - he was there and set up before the reception. As the bridal party was getting lined up to walk in, we spent 20 minutes standing there while the DJ, who I had not met beforehand, learned how to pronounce everyone's names. What more- he announced our maid of honor and best man as "wedding planners" and our wedding planners as best man and maid of honor. When the dancing started - he started playing our do not play list. Eventually that got worked out, but these are all things that would have been avoided if they had taken 30 minutes to meet with us before our wedding day.
