Frequently Asked Questions for Band
Are you an agency or a band?
Band
What is the size of your band?
Large (6+ musicians)
What music genre does your band play?
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Big Band, Classic Rock, Country, Dance, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, Motown, Oldies, Pop, R&B, Reggae, Rock, Soul, Swing
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
What is your band's usual attire?
Suits and ties for the guys, Jamie in a dress.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
We have many samples of our performances on our website. You can listen to mp3s on our Audio page and you can watch videos recorded at actual performances on our Video page.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Yes, particularly for your first dance song. Or, if you prefer, we can play the CD of the actual artist for you to dance to.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
One to two hours.
How much space do you usually require?
We can (and have!) fit into very small spaces, if necessary. A 10x20 area is preferable.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We bring lighting, which is comprised of two stands (one to go on either side of the band), with containing two colored lights. The lighting is meant to accentuate the band area, but is not overbearing or "tacky".
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
Ron, the band leader, performs all emcee duties. This usually includes introducing the bridal party, announcing the first dance, introducing the toasts, etc. However, this is on a case-by-case basis, as some weddings require a lot of emceeing, whereas others request little or none.
