We knew from our first call with Chris that he had to be our photographer! Chris is so passionate about capturing the love and uniqueness of each couple’s relationship and making sure the photos are personal and not generic. I definitely recommend getting the package that includes the engagement session, not only do you get great photos of your engagement but it gives you and Chris an opportunity to get to know each other and get a feel for your personality and is just a great ice breaker. Chris is so easy to work with. He gives great direction for ensuring he captures the photo but somehow they don’t look fake or staged but feel and look very organic. Don’t be afraid to come with ideas and then Chris will take it from there. Chris and his team are professional and fun. For both sessions we had with him, he arrived early to get the lay of the land and come up with the most beautiful shots. His turn around time is super fast. Our custom wedding album is gorgeous, well put together and very high quality. I cannot give any higher praise. Our absolute favorite vendor of our entire wedding. I wish I could book him to just follow me around and photograph my life…but that would be weird. Would give more than five stars if we could!

Chris is an extremely talented, professional, and fun photographer to work with. He was recommended to us by our wedding planner and he exceeded all of our expectations. From the beginning, he took the time to get to know us personally and understand what was important to us so that he could capture this during our engagement pictures and wedding day. Chris has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I had met Chris prior to getting engaged due to a prior event four years ago and when I got engaged last year, he was the one vendor I absolutely had to rebook because he left an amazing impression the last time I had worked with him. He is personable, loves (and is great at) what he does and shows a genuine interest in your needs/wants for your wedding day. He has by far been my favorite vendor to work with, he makes sure to respond to all when we have e-mail correspondence so I wasn't constantly forwarding e-mails on to my finance like I had to do for other vendors. He was always prompt at responding to e-mails and was more than willing to work with us on any requests we had. We first met with Chris for our engagement shoot and had so much fun working with him at the park he had suggested. Given Covid-19, he was respectful about keeping distance/wearing a mask where necessary and we even had some fun with some mask shots. Chris certainly has an eye for the little details and would make sure I swiped away any hairs in my face or adjusted a necklace prior to taking photos, he even would help us with where to place our hands or how best to sit for a certain photo. The turnaround time for our engagement pictures was crazy fast and we were absolutely blown away by the beauty of our pictures. As the wedding day approached, Chris made sure to set up a call to plan out our day and ensure any picture requests that we might have were written down. We had a live document leading up to the wedding day of any pictures we may want along with a list of all formal shots needed. On the day of the wedding, Chris and his partner for the day, Jim, showed up early and got to work taking pictures and staging photos. He kept us on track and on time the entire day and came prepared with a list of all formal shots we had requested. They were also quick to pivot at any last-minute requests we had. Chris also made sure to get an amazing night shot right before they headed out for the night. Following the wedding Chris kept us updated with timing of photos and what to expect. Even with the wedding, he blew us away with how quickly he provided us the wedding photos and each and every one was absolutely stunning. For this particular event we did not choose to purchase a photo book as it wasn’t in our budget; however, for the last event I did have Chris complete a photo album and the process was super smooth – Chris would draft the initial copy of the book and then I would be able to add comments/notes about possible changes I would like to see. There would be a couple iterations of this process and the end result was absolutely beautiful. If it’s in your budget, I’d highly recommend having Chris creating a photo album for you as well. I can’t say enough good things about Chris – I would continue to hire him again and again if I could. If you’re looking for someone who is going to produce amazing memories of this wonderful time in your life and make sure you have a fun time while doing it, I would definitely recommend you hire Christopher Belli Photography.

I was even more convinced after meeting him in person and seeing samples of his wedding albums. He put me at ease immediately with all of my concerns and questions. I first met Chris when I was a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding two years ago. I knew right away that this guy was awesome and to keep him in the back of my mind when the time came for my wedding. Chris was one of the first vendors I contacted soon after I became engaged. We even made our wedding date around his availability! We had chosen a wintery engagement session and even though it was freezing and snowing, Chris made it a lot of fun. He was even kneeling and laying down in the snow to get the best photos of us. Despite the frozen toes, we had a blast! The wedding planning process was very organized. Chris created a detailed timeline for our wedding day. It included all of the special photos we wanted and the names of each member of our bridal party and immediate family. Our bridal party was quite large, but Chris made sure he knew everyone's names! On the day of our wedding, Chris and Marek (his second photographer) made everything go smoothly. They were both professional, polite, patient, and caring. I may be biased, but our wedding photos are amazing. I have been told by friends, family, and coworkers that my husband and I "look like models" or "could be in a professional magazine". Chris and Marek captured every moment and emotion from our wedding day. It was like experiencing my wedding day all over again while viewing the pictures. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the experience and photography from Chris. I highly recommend him!

Christopher Belli Photography (Chris and his second photographer) have an artistic approach to your pictures. They are thinking ahead to your wedding album when suggesting poses (who takes a picture of a wall? Someone thinking about meaningfull background images for an album), but also work with you, your location, and lighting (both natural and supplemental) to really capture beautiful images.

The whole story of our day is documented now with high quality photographs. I feel like I'm reliving that day every time I look at our photos.

To be honest, I was nervous due to the cost (I'm a buffet with paper plates kind of bride) not knowing if it would be worth it. Christopher Belli Photography SO MUCH exceeded my expectations. The moment I met with Chris Belli, I knew he was the one - photographer that is! He is very friendly, easy to work with and definitely pays attention to detail! Chris did both my engagement and wedding session and he was excellent both times! Both sessions were outdoors in cold weather (one in November, the other in December) and Chris remained un-phased by the temperature. He went above and beyond by fluffing my dress, picking lint of my groom and laying on the ground in downtown Detroit, just to get perfect pictures for us on our big day! Additionally, my husband can be very shy, but he too loved working with Chris Belli, since he was able to joked with us, made us laugh and made us feel very comfortable!
