Every couple has a unique vision for their wedding day. Your wedding photographer should match your vision. We aim to capture a natural, photojournalistic style that preserves both the big and little moments of your wedding day. We love to have fun, and do our best to ensure that our couples have the best day of their life, and we’ve got the pictures to prove it!

Our wedding packages offer a little something for every budget. There are a large assortment of extra goodies you can add to your package to customize it for your needs, wants and desires! These include engagement and bridal sessions, beautiful heirloom albums, and more.

We also offer unique, artistic post-processing to really turn your wedding day images into one of a kind pieces of art.

How would you identify your photographic style? Rockstar style! :) We shoot in in a mostly "photojournalistic" style while still offering unique, fun formal shots.

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning? While we do not do traditional "selective color" images, we offer 10+ years photo editing experience with one of a kind processing. More information is included in our pricing guide.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? We are comfortable shooting in all lighting situations.

Is your media preference film or digital? We shoot all digital.

How many photographers do you work with? There is always a second photographer included at no extra charge.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend? We will book only one wedding per weekend, in order to be able to provide our best possible services!

Do you charge hourly or full day? Packages are available for all day coverage, but you can also purchase hourly increments.

If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime? Additional time is $200 dollars an hour.

Do you charge for travel? Yes, there is a mileage fee for any locations more than 30 miles from 75023.

In what format are the initial proofs offered? Proofs are available in a password protected web gallery.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos? Yes, Brandi Thompson Photography retains all copyrights to the photographs taken. When you purchase a DVD of digital negatives, you are given a full print release so that you can print them as many times as you want!

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple? Digital negatives are available for purchase and are included with some packages.

What kind of albums do you offer? We can offer several album alternatives based on your budget.

Additional Questions and Answers

Do you use shotlists? While we do work with a general list for formal shots, we do not work with day of shot lists. We work with a photojournalistic style, and capture the day as it progresses. We do not stage shots, outside of formal shots. You will find that we will naturally capture the shots you want!

How many formal shots do you take? Because of the style of our photography, and the time it takes to do formal shots, we limit the formal, posed shots that we take. Formal shots can include the bridal party, immediate family (Mother, Father, Siblings) and grandparents. We will happily take fun, laid back shots of you with your favorite cousin, or other important people during your reception! We feel that limiting the formal shots enables EVERYBODY to have more fun!

Can I get copies of the unedited files? We feel that part of our artistry lies in the post processing of our images. This is a big part of why we do not provide unedited files.
