I cannot begin to say enough good things about my experience with Nancy Thomas! My husband and I met Nancy over four years ago while we were looking for a wedding photographer, and we have developed an amazing friendship since then! When we first met Nancy, I was impressed with her professionalism and her attention to detail. What I most liked about Nancy from our first consultation was her genuine passion for her work and her �no pressure� approach to meeting with us. She was able to show us multiple examples of her previous work, and was able to remember details about all of the images she shared with us. That really showed me that she wasn�t just a photographer that was interested in making money, but someone who truly cares about the people that she is taking the photos of. Nancy�s ability to capture the moment without making the images looked posed is a true gift!
Although I was impressed with Nancy�s work, I was the typical bride, and I searched around to many other photographers in the area before making my decision. After it all was said and done, my husband and I could not find anyone else in the area that appeared to be as passionate and driven about their work as Nancy was! So, needless to say, we booked with Nancy, and from that point forward, we have developed a wonderful working relationship as well as a true friendship!
Nancy photographed our engagement photos as part of our wedding package that we booked with her. The engagement photo session was wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone who works with Nancy for their wedding! The engagement session gave us the opportunity to feel comfortable in front of the camera as a couple as well as to see how to interact with Nancy during the shoot before the �big day�. By the time the wedding rolled around, we were so comfortable with Nancy, we left the entire day completely in her control with total faith! It was so nice to have that kind of trust in someone on a day when you have so much on your mind already. If there was anything that day that Nancy was nervous about, you couldn�t tell! She was completely �cool, calm, and collected� and she was able to be a major part of our day without us hardly even realizing that she was there!
Since our marriage, my husband and I have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl named Rylee! So, when I found out that I was pregnant, Nancy and I reconnected, and we had the most amazing maternity photo shoot. I thought I would be uncomfortable with taking photos when I felt like I was as big as a house, but once again, I was so impressed with the ease that I felt with Nancy. My husband and I both agreed that the maternity photo shoot was the most fun we have ever had in front of a camera. Nancy suggested that we take the pictures at Lake Jordan at sunset, and the images that we got were breathtaking!
Then, Nancy was there again to capture images of another major milestone in our lives. Five days after the birth of our daughter, Nancy came out to our house to take photos of Rylee which we will cherish forever. Nancy was able to get some amazing shots of our daughter with her eyes open, which was rare at that point since she was only 5 days old! The fact that Nancy took time to come out to our house and photograph our daughter during her busy fall wedding season was so touching to me and my family! And the love that my husband and I feel for our daughter was truly illustrated through Nancy�s work! I know that as my daughter grows and as our family expands even more, we will continue to use Nancy for all of our professional photography needs!
Again, I cannot say enough about both Nancy�s work as well as Nancy as a person. She really does focus on capturing all of the emotions of the moment in her photos, not just documenting the moment in time. Nancy is a true professional, and you will not be disappointed if you decide to have Nancy be part of your life. I know that she has touched my soul through her photographs, and I know she will do the same for you!
