Steven and Carissa's Wedding in Pearl River, New York

After trying on what felt like 100 dresses, I worked with a designer to create my own dress that was classic and princess-like. It had just the right amount of satin, tulle, and sparkle! It was so important to me that my dress grew bigger every time I twirled! I didn't want a dress that I would look back on in 20 years and think "what was I thinking?!" But growing up near NYC, I found that all the dresses in the boutiques and salons near me were very fashion forward and pageant-like. So, creating my own was the perfect solution for that timeless dress! My bridesmaid got their dresses from Macy's - it's an Adriana Papell dress and it was so comfortable and flattering!

My photographer, Tina Elizabeth Photography, was amazing! She was just as big of a Disney fan as me, which was so important! Other photographers that I had met with would roll their eyes or even laugh when I told them my wedding would be Disney themed, so it was such a relief to find someone who loved the magic just as me! She was able to capture every single magical detail, kiss, and twirl throughout the day. I also fell in love with her style of editing - everything was just so whimsical!

Unfortunately, I do not recommend my DJ. They ignored my "do not play" list, ignored my "must have played" list, the main DJ seemed to have asked me out at the end of the night, and another DJ went back to the hotel with one of my guests. Also, my father and I had a fun father/daughter dance where we had a mashup of songs. I got in contact with him 8 months prior to my wedding in regards to creating the song, and he constantly said "we have time", and then 2 weeks before my wedding he decided to start helping me, only to make it completely wrong (he used the wrong songs) and then took another week to send me another one for it to be wrong again. It was then 3 days before the wedding and I still hadn't heard from him so I had to reach out to someone else to create the song for me and send it to him, meaning my father and I had 3 days to learn our dance. Although he played the right songs for the ceremony, dances, and cake cutting, he did not play the right song for the bouquet toss. Overall, I was very unhappy with them as a vendor. However, I found out shortly after my wedding, my DJ no longer works for the company.

Other than the DJ, the day went absolutely perfectly and there was not a single hiccup! My husband and I said our I Do's, danced, ate, had tons of cake, and are now living our happily ever after!
