Bohemian Spring Gold 10 wedding vendors
E&K
10 May, 2019The story of our wedding
When I think about planning our wedding, I realize my end goal never was about the wedding itself, it was always about the day that would kick off our forever and for that reason, it truly had to feel like ours. I worked tirelessly to make it fit my unique, laidback, bohemian style, while including my groom as much as possible (who is so often forgotten in the planning process!). Above all else, I wanted to start our marriage happy and surrounded by what, and who, we both love most. None of it would have been possible without the most perfect vendor team I could have ever imagined. I scoured multiple planning platforms and created a massive spreadsheet to find the right vendors for us, based on cost, style, reviews, personality, how well we interacted with each other, the list goes on. And it paid off. We had a painted portrait of our dog on our signature cocktails sign; we asked the band to play the Masters tournament music at cocktail hour (for him) and "Hey Jude" during the reception (for me); instead of generic table numbers, we named tables after cities around the world we've traveled to together; I surprised my groom with a song from his (now our) favorite band for our first dance; we had cookies scattered around our cake table for my sweet tooth and late-night chicken tenders and french fries for his love of salty snacks; we used throw pillows and pictures frames from our own home for the lounge and memorial table; we had a message with a golf pun (can you tell my husband loves golf?) on our welcome sign at the reception; we reached out to another band we love to obtain a license so we could use a song special to us in our wedding highlight video; we put our personalities and our relationship into every single detail of the day. Every person involved in our big day will probably never truly understand the impact they had. It might seem small to them, just another job or another wedding, but to my husband and I, our vendors, along with our family members, friends and guests, came together to help us create this perfect, magical, unique, and special day that could not possibly have summed up our infinite love better. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm still dreaming...
