Zoom teeth whitening?

Elizabeth, on November 18, 2017 at 12:20 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

Has anyone tried zoom teeth whitening? My dentist says some people are very sensitive and do not tolerate the full procedure.

Or what other teeth whitening products would you recommend?

Thanks!

Try the Crest whitening strips, or Listerine Healthy White.....those work really well, and you're not paying an arm and a leg for them either. And if you do use any whitening products, don't drink anything acidic, they will only increase any sensitivity you might get after doing the whitening.

I'm planning on whitening mine before the wedding. When I talked to my dentist he did not recommend the traditional bleaching that is done in the office. He said he would only do that if it was something I put off until the last minute and had to have it done quick. It makes the majority of people's teeth painfully sensitive.

He recommends getting impressions done and plastic retainers of your teeth made that you put the whitening product in. It takes only a little longer to reach the desired level of whiteness (is that a word lol) as compared to the bleaching.

The over the counter crest whitening strips have never worked for me. My dentist said they only whiten the top layer of your tooth as compared to the bleaching or personal retainers that whiten all of the layers - in other words they aren't an effective solution to more permanently white teeth. I'm willing to spend the money though to get nice white teeth that will last.

@MrsGtoB I work in the dental field, I think I know what I'm talking about. Any type of bleaching that you do will always have to be redone as bleaching is never a permanent procedure. Also, dentists will always try to sell you their customized bleaching kits which can cost money, when I myself have personally seen the results from these over the counter products. If Crest whitening strips did not work for you, there could be many reasons, like percentage and so forth, who knows, but instead of spending expensive money at a dental office, these products are readily available, and affordableSmiley smile

@EE woah calm down. I was not attacking you in anyway. I was just sharing my experience with crest white strips. That's great that they worked for you. I will have to go a different route so I was just letting the OP know different ways that have been suggested to me. And I never said bleaching was 100% permanent. It's more permanent aka longer lasting or so I've been told and seen on people's teeth that I know. Just giving ideas to whitening products as OP requested Smiley smile

That's good. And there's never such a thing as "longer lasting". If you drink, coffee, wine, etc. And the frequency in which you eat/drink foods that stain will depend on the longevity of your results. As for the whitening solutions, in the end they all do the same thing, just some are a little more affordable and practical, that's allSmiley smileSmiley smile
