Zola Registry??

SnowyBride, on July 6, 2017 at 9:40 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Has anyone used Zola for their wedding registry and if so what are some pros/cons? FH and I are considering it but I don't know much about it. Also curious if anyone has bought anything off a Zola registry? My mom thinks guests will miss being able to pick out a gift in person.

Also, I know Zola has a cash/honeymoon fund option. We're NOT using that!!!!

    We signed up for Zola specifically because we were able to both add items from any other website on the internet and we could upload the registry we made at a physical store. That was very important to us since we do know that people will want to go in person to purchase gifts, as well as being able to just purchase them online.

    We haven't made much progress on it otherwise but the convenience of having all of the different registries and items all in one place, rather than having to list three or four websites was the main reason we decided to sign up for Zola

    If you use it as an universal registry, I think it's good, but I've seen several that just appeared to be honeyfunds by another name.

    Another good option could be Blueprint Registry. They are a universal registry and we are using them. They do have the option for a cash fund, but I just disabled it.

    I almost did a Zola registry and used it as a guest for a friend's wedding. The pros: beautiful, easy layout for guests; really cool items to choose from; option to add subscriptions or personalize honeyfund ideas, if you're into that (as a guest, I liked it more than the usual honeyfund option). The cons: prices are higher; not a ton of variety so make sure they have the crucial items you want. I don't think anyone under the age of 60 will care about going into a store.

    We are using Zola and have loved it! We live out of state from 90% of our guests and having it just ship for free is awesome! We were able to import items from other store, like Crate and Barrell, Macy's and Dillards. The guests who have used it said that its very easy to use and nice that it is all in one place!

    We are using Zola. We have about 20 items on it, and then most of our other items are at crate and barrel and target so people can actually go in to a store. I'm surprised that a lot of our gifts have been purchased in those stores and not online!

    We're using Zola and it's been great so far. Seems to be easy to use for both us and guests, and we love being able to add things from any website- amazon, REI because we love the outdoors, and even a random small boutique that has art that we've been eying. Plus you can wait to have things shipped (I.e. After you get home from the honeymoon if you're going on one)

    Truth be told, the ONLY reason I go into a store is so I can apply any coupons I have towards the registry gift.

    Thank you all, super helpful advice! I think we'll probably use it. I didn't realize you could also connect other registries to it as well.

    @Brandi Yup, had to :-)
