Your wedding vs your childhood dream wedding?!

I just thought of this at work and thought it'd be a fun discussion! How does your real wedding/s compare to your childhood dream wedding?! What was the same or totally different (like how you think you want a mermaid dress and leave with a ball gown), why is/was your wedding not the same? Was it the exact way you imagined when you were younger?

For me; I always dreamed of a beach wedding but we are doing a backyard vintage-y romantic themed wedding! When we started planning we realized how complicated and expensive our wedding would turn being a beach wedding so we changed to a woodsy winter romantic theme and I'm way happier with it! I will still be in a white A-line as I imagined but everything else is the opposite! Different (deeper) color scheme and earth instead of water elements

It's very sweet to hear about the pass down of your moms dress! Did she have a veil you could use or something to still bring her into it via wardrobe? The smaller count is honestly so much less money and stress! Hopefully you are happy with the new dress and low guest count!

Even if I had $100K for a wedding, that’s insane! (Well unless I had millions, then cool). I had bridal magazines and LOVED big Demetrios gowns from the 80s. 😂

Haha! Not at all, two presents I'm not sure if we are doing the same or not but ours is in July while our wedding is December so its a great time span. Ours will be 8.5 years dating as of the wedding as well!

I agree I mean even if I had millions of dollars I still probubly wouldn't spend more than half that on a wedding because I could get way more/better things!
