Mia, on November 13, 2017 at 8:04 AM Posted in Planning 0 17

Just wondering what some of you ladies have picked as your music for the processional. I don't even know where to start with this! Trying to get some ideas Smiley smile

"Driving" by Will Ackerman. It's a really beautiful acoustic piece.

Recessional is either going to be "Just Say Yes" by Snow Patrol or "Bailar Contigo" by Carlos Vives. We can't decide.

I haven't picked yet but I'm pretty sure it may be something by Handel or something equally as classical.

I'm also really sure it won't be the wedding march or 'A Thousand Years' even though it is beautiful.

We are doing an instrumental version of "Skinny Love" by Birdy for the bridal party. Dad and I will walk in to "Make It To Me" by Sam Smith.

I'm meeting with my solo guitarist tomorrow to discuss this as well. I'm with you I have no idea what. I'm thinking At Last by Etta James as instrumental piece for was I walk down the aisle. But it's also got to be something he can play comfortably.

I am walking down to a piano version on Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home, it is actually very beautiful and their concert was our first date, and that song was our first kiss. It is going to be a complete surprise to FH.

    No idea on recessional yet.

I am a huge Harry Potter fan and want to incorporate it in a subtle way so I'm thinking about walking down to the Hedwig's theme from Harry Potter. People who know will recognize it and who know me will think it's hilarious, but it's not overly obvious

Procession song is "How Long Will I Love You" by Ellie Goulding, I still can't listen to it without getting teary. We are getting married on the beach, so we have our amazing DJ doing guitar and vocals for this song! Recessional will be "I Got You" by Jack Johnson.

Bridal party will be "Concerning Hobbits" from LOTR (we're obsessed lol...we even have matching LOTR tattoos), I'll be walking to "Come to Me" by the Goo Goo Dolls. Not sure about recessional yet!

We're having a duo (cello and guitar) play "All of Me" for the GM/BM and then changing to "I See The Light" for me.

Afterwards, it'll be "Here Comes the Sun"

If you're stuck for a processional, look up Paul hankinson on YouTube! I'm likely using his rendition of Ed Sheeran's perfect arranged with Canon in d. He has several other lovely options as well! Very talented!!

We've hired a bluegrass band to perform for our whole wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception), so I've gone with traditional bluegrass/folk songs for our wedding ceremony. I believe I am going to have family and bridal party walk down the aisle to Come Thou Fount. Then, my processional will be Margret's Waltz, which our band listed as an option for the ceremony and I just fell in love with. Here's a link to a youtube video of the song below (ignore the goofy little jig at the beginning):
