Your Favorite Date Night

The Bride, on June 3, 2019 at 10:47 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 25

Although my husband and I just got married in March, we have been together for 7 years. We have a tradition of going on a date every two weeks where we switch off on who leads the date night. As you could imagine we're running out of unique ideas.

My husband's favorite date night was when I took us to the movies to see Escape Room and then to a dinosaur themed escape room in Manhattan.

My favorite date night was when my husband took us to have dinner on the beach during our honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

What is your favorite date night?

We really enjoy places like Dave and Busters. We also like to go to sporting events like Cincinnati Red's games or UK basketball games, depending on the season.

We've done Dave and Busters a few times and he loves it but I'm becoming bored with it. We would love to go to a basketball game, he's a huge Lebron James fan.

We love going to sporting events. We're huge Red Sox fans and live about an hour and a half from Boston so we go up there and see games a few times every summer. We also have a local minor league team who we go to a few times every summer as well. In the winter we like going to hockey games. Some other things we like to do are go on hikes in new places in the spring and summer. We also love just going out on the boat for the day in the summer.

We're not sports fans per se but we do enjoy basketball and football from time to time. Our goal is to be able to go to a game next season.

Board game nights are always fun - if you can find a board game cafe in your area that's even better because you can explore new games (and eat food!!). We also like going to concerts or seeking out local beaches or parks to hang out at.

My favorite date day is something with gentle exercise outside. We’ve rented bikes at our local park then came home a cooked a nice breakfast. I suggested that we soon do a walk on the beach then grab a latte. Do you have a museum near you? They often rotate cool touring exhibits.

We’ve seen a lot of musical performances this past year—Rat Pack, Beatles or other tribute shows at local theaters or bars. Pretty fun!

We love Escape Rooms and things like that. We also do dinner and a movie at least once a month and try to get to a broadway show or an event at least once or twice a year.

We're always trying to come up with new ideas for dates! It depends on your interests, but personally we love taking hikes/walks on trails, seeing music and local theatre performances, singing karaoke, playing games at a barcade, and going to museums/zoo type places! We want to check out more sports games too. If you pick up a new hobby together, that could also be fun! Like an improv class, rock climbing, volunteer etc. Good luck!

Great ideas!!!!! I haven't ridden a bike since I was a kid and I don't think he has either so that would be really cool for us to do.

They are expensive which is why we don’t go too often, but we try the digital lotteries for cheap tickets of day if we try TKTS booth in Times Square for discounts lol

It’s under/behind the red stairs in Times Square. I believe they have another location at South street Seaport as well. They sell day of tickets to a good amount of shows at a good discount. Usually about 40-50% off, but not gonna catch big shows there like Hamilton or Dear Evan Hansen. Tdf.org usually has a list of their shows.
