"You pick... No, i don't like what you spent all that time picking." a mini rant.

So I've asked my fiance on several occasions to look at tuxes.
Yes, our wedding is 8 months away, but I start my second full time job this week. I'm pretty much booked til January. So I've been wanting to pick them out. They can wait til November/December to get measured. But let's just pick them out.
So I get a "you pick them out, we'll wear whatever." So I go look at then today. So pumped. Because I pick them out and we're good to go!
Til I show him.
Yeah. No. He hates them. And wants to wear navy suits.
Are you kidding!?! You've had months to tell me this. And you decide NOW!?! After I told you we need more black?
Here's an attached photo of my murdered dreams.
Can't wait to argue about how navy won't go with our color scheme.

Ohmy god that's annoying. If he knew he wanted navy why didn't he say so? Gah

I don't see why he didn't tell you. My fiance knew what he wanted to wear before I did.

😂 your murdered dreams has me dying.

Hey, at least you managed to get him to pick something out finally. Maybe that's a precursor on how to motivate him. I have had to learn how to motivate my FH. Mostly I just present things as a dare or a doubt and *poof* magically it happens...after months of waiting for it to happen naturally.

I would sit him down and ask what opinions he has for you guys wedding. That’s what I did with my fiancé. That way whenever I make a decision and I show him, I know that he’s okay with it and doesn’t want anything else. I understand that it’s very frustrating to have to handle. Men are very frustrating when it comes to weddings and decisions. I just have to keep telling myself that it’s our wedding not just mine especially when he keeps saying things like you have dream of this wedding since a child and been planning my wedding since then too. So I try and keep pushing his opinions out of him.

Ha. It's super frustrating because I never planned to do this. So I'm starting from scratch with very little direction.
He says he wants me to stop being annoyed when he tells me he doesn't like something. But won't give me an opinion til he dislikes what I've picked.
I spent all this time picking this out, to just have him walk by, glance, and say no.
But when I ask him what he has opinions on, he doesn't care. "Just pick something."

Exactly! I haven’t planned my wedding when I was younger. I was planning and going over things with his mom the other day and he walked by and was being very annoying. We had all this planning we done for hours and he wanted us to fill him in with everything in a short amount of time. I had to jump on a call with the event planner in less than 2 hours and I still wanted to get some other things accomplished before then. And then he wasn’t even listening to what we had done. He was giving his opinion on things he didn’t even care about.
