You know how much champagne I need, I don't.

Ok, silly but easy question. I don't drink, and am therefore horrible at calculating alcohol.

Getting ready, going to pick up the sparkling and juices for the morning of. 6-8 drinkers, I might have one or two, and then two adults drinking moderately.

How many bottles do I get? I don't mind having extra, would rather not run out.

Usually I get about 6 full glasses out of one bottle of champagne - so maybe four or five?

Yea google told me that there are 6 glasses per 750ml bottle of champagne.

Eta: so if you are doing a champagne toast you would want to have enough per person. And maybe an extra bottle or two.

Let me just put it this way: I pour a glass and then I pour another and then "Wait, what? where is the rest of the champagne? How did we go through a whole bottle!?!?! NEED MORE CHAMPAGNE."

    So maybe ten.

Seriously....for 8 drinkers, two of them heavy, I would buy 10 bottles of champagne.

I'd get 5 or 6 bottles. Everyone will be in a celebratory (ie drinking) mood. If you're doing mimosas, remember that you'll get even more out of the bottles because you'll be mixing with juice.

ETA - If you truly want to be on the safe side, get at least 8 bottles!

It's definitely better to have too much than not enough...or maybe that's just me? I agree with Maltese, 10 bottles should be good!

I still say 10 bottles...especially if you are NOT using champagne glasses.

Champagne ALWAYS runs out when mimosas are being consumed. I am planning on bringing like 12 for me and 5 drinking BMs. I would much rather have leftover -we can drink it the next morning.

Well....I will be going to buy more champagne now. Glad I opened this one.

I have 8 people and clearly not enough booze.

How much OJ? Is two gallons enough?

Ok. Good to know. One gallon OJ

PSA: Costco has Mango Champagne that is perfect in Mimosas. Or by itself really.

I actually like my mimosas "hold the OJ" style, so consider that if you have friends like me Smiley winking

Yea, just a splash of OJ. Plus, nobody cares if you run out of OJ, that's not the important part haha

Champagne with raspberries or sliced strawberries in it is also good! Freeze the fruit ahead of time.

Bareboot actually makes some decent sparkling wine - similiar to champagne but cheaper (and less dry)! I can be a bit of a wine snob, if the sparkling Barefoot works for me than your guests won't complain.
