My best friend is getting married september 2020 too and she's not feeling nervous or at least expressing it. but i can see how you would be. but i think it's enough time before you need to really decide if you want to take your plan b into action

My wedding is in September, yes I'm a bit nervous but not really about the virus. We cannot live like this in my opinion. We need to start all getting back to work or things are going get much worse. Luckily myself, and my parents (they are helping w/ the wedding) are still working; my FH is not and he wants to go back to work really bad right now.

July 25th - I was feeling quite optimistic when this whole thing started, but now I am feeling more nervous. We reached out to the venue today to discuss a Plan B and/or postponement. Things might be a bit more opened up by then, but it may not even be legal to have nearly 100 people in a venue; and people may not even feel comfortable coming. I hate to even think about changing a thing about our date, but it's just starting to feel more like we need to explore options.

We are june 6. We are waiting until the end of the month to decide whether or not to postpone. If things are projected to be closed past the middle of may, we will reschedule. If they end up opening up, we will be going on as planned. Whether my family can be there or not (they're in upstate new york). We are planning to do a Facebook live for those who can't be there. If things close, we will be forced to go with the end of July or next summer because we have kids schools we need to plan around. I am freaking out, fh is super calm about it.

9-19-20 moved to 10-16-21 and feel like I have a weight off my shoulder from worrying about it this year and getting a new date secured that worked for all my vendors & to not lose that money. I personally couldn’t spend the next few months so stressed over something that should be so happy. I think it depends on location, guest count, guests traveling domestic / international, if you’re okay making changes to your wedding etc. even when things start to go back to normal it will be slow or also there will be a lot of hesitations and people feeling uncomfortable in large gatherings, I didn’t want that overshadowing anything & for everyone to focus on Their wellbeing. But I don’t blame any 2020 brides for being stressed 💛 I think everyone has to follow their gut feeling to find what will work for them.

Phase 1 of opening involves a downward number of cases for 2 weeks. And then another downward trend of cases for another 2 weeks. Before moving onto Phase 2. Phase 1 includes no more than 10 people at gatherings and distancing.

Phase 2 works the same way but allows 50 people to gather. If numbers rise, they go back to phase 1.

    Hi there,

This is definitely a crazy stressful and uncertain time for everyone! It seems like a lot of September brides are waiting a few more weeks before making postponement decisions, but everyone's situation is different and it never hurts to be proactive about plan b!

You also aren't alone right now! ❤️

Sending lots of love your way!
