Yet another dress regret post...

Selena, on February 13, 2019 at 10:04 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
I can stop thinking about the Hearst, but I bought the other one, the echo. The echo was the sample and is too big, and is going to require extensive alterations... I am still dropping weight like crazy and wonder if I will be out if the range for alterations anyways. I keep seeing beautiful brides in the Hearst, or it's watters sister, Galata..... I am getting a bonus this month that could pay for it..... But I don't really need a second dress.

    The first dress is gorgeous!!!

I didn’t get the Hearst bc the lady who helped me try on dresses at BHLDN said most of her clients chose the Hearst or the Ricarda. I didn’t want the same dress that practically every other bride was choosing.

Are you thinking about changing because you’re not “in love” with first dress? Or you’re worried about alterations changing it?

I love #1 on you!!!! Beautiful fabric, style and you have a knock-out figure (look at your small waist). You look fabulous in #2 but #1 is amazing.

They are both beautiful on you, I think I like the first picture the best! It looks like a Greek goddess dress so gorgeous

I really can't stop thinking about the other one, and I am seeing it every where. I am also worried about the alterations cost and ability to size down. I have dropped 5 dresses sizes since September. From a 16 to an 8 street size. The dress I purchased is a 16, and was large when I bought it in November.

They’re both gorgeous on you but I understand second guessing dress choices! If you’re thinking you’ll lose lots of weight do you have time to wait and see what you still like and don’t like about the dresses or do you have to order soon?

Also if you follow BHLDN and/or ‘Brides’ on IG literally every other dress is the Hearst, I see it posted a minimum of twice a week and even twice in the same day. SO MANY brides have it. It’s a gorgeous dress but it just might be the wedding dress that the most people have ever worn. When I had my first dress appointment my favorite dress from that particular boutique was Galatea. When I went to my second appointment that day at another shop they had the Galatea as well. I’ve always been of the mindset that many brides will wear each design a designer produces but Hearst/ Galatea takes it to a whole new level.

Ohh!! I’m so sorry!! In your position (I have 3 now...) I completely reworked my budget and cut stuff I really wanted to make room for a dress...
i definately suggest choosing dress and then seeking it online (carefully reading details regarding alterations and requesting exact measurements of dress) if you’re trying cheap...

but I only spent 4K on all theee I think because I’m a complete cheapskate

i completely understand if that’s not feasible for you though and this is just a vent

if youre “stuck” I’m so so sorry and genuinely hope that you can have everything else exactly like you want it... and I’m sorry that you’re feeling upset and unhappy with no one to really commiserate with...

... happy planning, sending you good vibes and wishing you the best of luck!

Between the two, I think the first one is more flattering on you.

Thanks all, you know how to help make a girl feel great.

I really didn't want a dress that everyone else had, which is why I bought the first one. I think I lost sight of that.

I'll be really honest, I do not like that second dress on you. First dress, however? That one is for you.
