Just Said Yes July 2021

Yet Another Covid-19 Situation

Our wedding was scheduled for May 9, 2020 in Miami. It’s out of the question to go on with that date at this point, so we’ve made the decision to postpone and the one date we were able to find that church, venue, photographer, etc are available is July 3. We’ve pretty much decided on it but we haven’t officially sent the official email to the venue confirming it— truth is I’m a little scared to. What if July 3 is still too soon and I end up having to postpone yet again? Are there other May brides out there who have posponed, and if so, to when?

They're predicting that things will be back to "normal" around July or August if people follow the CDC's recommendations. I wouldn't feel comfortable postponing for July at this point.

I’m so sorry you are going through this! We had to postpone as well our wedding was April 11th. Our venue and photographer are only available April 4th of next year 😭 we will not get a refund so next year it will have to be 💆🏻‍♀️

Yeah my venue is only offering July 4 or July 11. I am holding out for a better date but if they don't offer me one they penalize me if I move my date to next year.

Ours was May 1st but we either move it to sept 4th which is the start to Labor Day weekend or move it to next year end of April or beginning of May. Haven’t decided yet what we are doing. So hard and upsetting.

Just postponed my April 11th to July 11th. I could have done even later in the year but I”m also worried about this “resurgence” they’re talking about in the fall/early winter. Yeah I’m nervous about July being too soon as well but the way I talked myself into it...if we aren’t back to normal by July 11th I banking on we will have much bigger things to worry about than our wedding.
