Curious, once you have five stars, do you have five stars for life? Say someone was a five star user 3 years ago and came back now, surely they aren't still in top 2% but do they still have five stars? Always been curious how that works. Seems like there's a zillion five star users.

Jessie Jackson - you can lose stars.

It is possible to lose stars, but I think the stars are based on all posts by all WW users over all time, not just in a recent time frame. So even though there are a lot more people with 5 stars now, there are also a lot more people with 4 stars, 3 stars, 2 stars, and 1 star now. Right now there are so many users who have only posted once or just a few times that some people reach 3-4 stars within their first few days on the forums if they're actively posting. That's why it's not safe to assume that someone should know something because they have 3 stars. Sometimes they're still really new at that point. It's just a matter of how the percentages work out.

Silly question, how do you get 5 stars? I didn't realize this was a thing. Lol!
