Writing our own ceremony

What don’t you like about it?

This is how we are doing ours:

First for you Groom,

Groom, you have chosen Bride to be your wife. Will you love and respect her? Will you be honest with her always? Will you stand by her through whatever may come?

(Answer “I will”)

(Groom put’s ring on Bride’s hand.)

Bride, you have chosen Groom to be your husband. Will you love and respect him? Will you be honest with him always? Will you stand by him through whatever may come?

(Answer “I will”)

(Bride Put’s ring on Groom’s hand.)

He picked something that was talking about the beginning of the rings and how they were made from rocks in the earth. Kinda goes through the process of how they are made and how they become something beautiful in the end....its actually a lovely story but it doesn't fit with the rest of the loving sweet ceremony. We both agree. He even had it highlighted in red and told me it was just a place holder because he didn't like it either lol. So now we are searching for something to go in its place to describe why we exchange rings

Ahh I see we omitted that part and we are just doing the vow and giving the rings after.

I don't like the typical "I do" so we choose "I will" instead! Love how you are also writing your own.
