Wrist corsages

Private_User832, on October 12, 2016 at 12:36 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

Do wrist corsages for the mother of the bride and mother of the groom match the flowers of the bridesmaid bouquets/your colors for the wedding or their dress? I never thought of this - I always assumed they matched the other flowers but when I asked the mother of the groom if she would like a wrist corsage she said yes and that she'd like it to match her dress. Thoughts?

Mine don't match any of the other flowers or colors for my wedding. I picked white roses to match with whatever they wear. Mothers of the bride and groom should not look like they belong in the wedding party. So I would assume no on matching flowers colors. Now if you want you can have the type of flower that you or BMs have and just in the color they want or matches their dress.

I have no idea what my mom is wearing to the wedding, but she said she didn't care what flowers she had for her corsage. My mom is a part of my wedding just as much as the girls standing up the with me, so I am getting her a corsage with the same flowers that my BP will have.

Mine will match the rest of our flowers (although they're doing nosegays, not wrist corsages)

Mine match the groomsmen-white spray roses. I would have gotten them white even if I went with a colored flower for the groomsmen, just because I don't know what our mothers will be wearing.

Our wrist corsages will match the rest of the flowers. They're fairly neutral colors so will go with whatever color dress they decide to wear.

Both of our moms will be wearing corsages but our florist will keep the colors unified.

We are going to have ours match because we are looking into package deals where the flowers all go together. What I am questioning is if I should get wrist or pin on.

We are doing corsages for mothers/grandmothers and boutineers for fathers/grandfathers.

Ours match the rest of the flowers. The corsages will be mini roses for the women and callas for the men.

My florist suggested (and this is what I went with) wrist corsages for the moms and then the pin corsages for the grandmothers. Smiley smile

I'm getting corsages for the mothers and the colors match to my bouquet. I don't like the pin because the dresses they'll be wearing is fragile and I don't want the dress to be ruined by the pins or get poked by the pin when they go and give someone a hug.

I hate wrist corsages altogether. I am not going to waste any money on corsages or boutineers.

Same colors, but my bridesmaids bouquets are baby's breath and the corsages are white orchids.
