Would you rather... forget your vows or forget your rings?

Forget my rings-just material items. The vows I wrote are more meaningful than any thing.

I personally am not writing my own vows, we are just doing the ones that my church uses, but if I were writing mine I would rather forget them because I could think of something off the top of my head instead of having to have someone leave to get the rings

    I'd say vows.

Vows. I can say what I'm feeling or what comes to mind about my husband.

That's kind of an easy choice because we are doing very traditional repeat-after-me vows with our priest at the wedding. We don't have to remember any papers or memorize anything. Plus both of us would be great making something up on the spot.

Definitely vows. I could attempt to recreate them and remember the important parts, and we could definitely reread them together later.

    Rings are so vital!

I was pretty decisively on the side of “I’d rather forget the rings”, because you could always borrow two rings from your guests for the ceremony, but my husband made a really strong case for forgetting the vows!

People would probably think it’s sweet and touching to have a nervous moment about forgetting your vows but he thought forgetting the rings would be a “come on dude, pull it together” moment!

I'd rather forget my rings. I've forgotten my engagement ring before. I feel naked but I know where it is. Forgetting vows would be totally embarrassing.

Vows! FH and I are both in sales and insanely good at thinking quickly. Rings are a little harder to make appear out of nowhere lol

I forgot my vows at my first wedding. At the last minute I learned my ex memories his because "reading off something was tacky and not from the heart." So I tried to memorize mine right before the wedding, then got nervous and just trailed off when I couldn't remember the end and said I was done. I don't think anyone noticed.

But our wedding is too far to drive so I definitely don't want to forget the rings. I'll still choose vows. And we'll read from books and our officiate will have a copy. I'm not worried about a repeat.

Rings! You can pretend to put a ring on but everyone would hear messed up vows.

Vows.. I can wing it or sure the priest would help.lol Rather have s1 show up in Jean's then a white dress. And rather have a party with 30 people that I love then no party.

The vows, as I think a quick improvising would fix the issue! I would be devastated if my rings didn't make it to the ceremony.
