Would U be mad if someone wore white to your wedding?

Ok, I may be the only one but I totally would not care. I mean maybe its rude but its not like theyre going to show up in a ballgown. And 9 times outta 10 they won't be in any pics. I was just wondering cuz I was watching 'Whose wedding is this anyway' and there was a similar issue. Thanks!

I Agree with Kristina W. I wouldn't even notice/care unless someone pointed it out to me. I would then probably go up to them during and say "hey we are twins" or something goofy. It wouldn't bother me though!

I probably wouldn't even notice! so I guess that means I wouldn't make a big fuss... but, if I did notice, I would just think that this person either doesn't know the rule or really wants attention

I couldn't care less about what people wore except for H and me.

I never gave it any thought until the best man's girlfriend showed me her dress she'll be wearing and my bridesmaids said NO WAY! I really don't care though

I probably wouldn't think twice about it if it were a short dress. If it were a white gown though, I might stop for a second Smiley smile

I know it's common for anyone to know not to wear white, that is the bride's dress color. I would never go to a wedding wearing white, unless they specifically said to (beach wedding or something)

However, at my wedding, my hand-made dress is silver & purple, not a speck of white. So if someone does actually show up in white, they will probably get some looks, but I wont care.

Since we didn't have any white anywhere in out wedding it wouldn't have bothered me. I thought everyone dressed really nicely at my wedding and was pleasantly surprised!

I wouldn't care. Unless it was seriously like a gown. But even then I would just be wondering what was wrong with them.

Hell, I'm not even wearing white to my wedding Smiley winking

Little kids in white- acceptable. A grown woman- hell no! I would be upset as it is common knowledge you just don't do that. The only exception I would make is if a dress is white based with alot of print covering it- so less of a white dress.

Not sure. Maybe I would be annoyed but I don't want to be mad on the day of my wedding (and hopefully no one will give me a reason haha)

I will admit looking back - SIL first wanted to wear a floor-length formal gown in a light champagne color that Nordstrom actually sold as a wedding dress. When she showed me the photo, I cringed. Given that our wedding was not formal, it would have been highly inappropriate and someone would have likely said something to her, if not about her. But I don't think she knew it was inappropriate - I think she just hasn't been to a wedding in a really long time and didn't realize what wedding dresses actually look like these days.

So I guess it depends on the actual dress. Just the color white? Didn't bother me a bit.

I'd only be pissed if they wore a wedding gown!

But if I was at someone else's wedding and a guest wore white, I'd probably just shake my head and think they were clueless.

This is terrible quality video, but every time I hear about a guest wearing white to a wedding, I immediately think of "The Office."

S3, I am the same way. I have seen people at other weddings wearing white, or hoochiemama club dresses, or otherwise inappropriate things. I have always side-eyed them. But I didn't gave a rat's a@@ at my own wedding.

    Is that strange?

I think at your own wedding you know people are going to be looking at you - or, if you're like me, you don't really want people looking at you so you sort of hope someone shows up with a bare midriff and a Carmen Miranda fruit hat.

At other people's weddings, it's natural to think, "OMG, look at that girl wearing white. What a tool." We forget that the bride has enough on her mind and she's probably not going to notice what her guests are wearing.....unless it's a bare midriff and a Carmen Miranda fruit hat.

Good point. I definitely have a lot more time and energy to look around at other people's weddings than I did at mine. Also at other people's weddings I realize I'm usually looking around trying to figure out who everybody is, so I pay more attention to details. Plus I feel like I took the time to dress appropriately so why can't everybody else, and my inner judge judy comes out to play.

I would have loved if someone came to my wedding dressed as Carmen Miranda. I didn't want all the attention either. Smiley smile

Hey - speaking of attention, did you do a back-and-married AW post?

I did but only with a few pics taken by guests. As soon as I get the cd I'm going to make a post with some of the pro pics.
