Hi everyone! Hoping for some encouragement on my dress. Long story short - I have a reception dress with an over skirt for the ceremony and first dances. I love this neckline and I love the flowy skirt for the ceremony. However, I am very worried that my dress does not look put together but instead just kind hodge podge. I tried on every gown and dress combo known to man. I am hoping that once the top is fitted and has proper cups/boning that it will look just right. I also have no idea how to do my hair. Please help!

P.s. sorry I only have video stills from my last fitting.

Definitely wear an updo to show off your shoulders and neck. You Lok athletic, a fake tan could really make your toned arms pop and look like that dress was meant for you. I also reccomend earings, no necklace or bracelette, to highlight your jaw and neck elegantly. Are you wearing a veil or tiarra- that may pull the look together more. Once you have hair/makeup/accessories figured out and see it all together you'll love it. Also where is your venue? That helps determine if the style of dress is appropriate.

I think your dress is great Smiley smile) I love it, it’s more on the simple side (as compared to dresses with lots of lace or beading, etc), but that doesn’t mean it isn’t beautiful, because it IS beautiful. I love your dress, and I think you look amazing in it

The dress is really beautiful and I like that it changes for the reception. You could always add a belt of you think needs a little lace or sparkle.

Your dress is fine. I think it looks nice but it is hard to imagine a dress being bridal without the accessories. I think for the style of dress like a PP said do an updo and I would accentuate that dress with diamonds (even if fake) and a lace veil or even tulle can really make it look great.

I like both looks. But yes the boning will help. You look statuesque.

Thank you for your advice! I was looking at some drop earrings for a little bit of drama and perhaps a veil length to match the skirt. I have attached a photo of the venue - romantic type of place. Worried my dress isn’t beautiful. 4

Yeah I think that is the best route to add some elegant pop.

I love BHLDN's Montreal dress - actually bought one to wear for my reception before deciding just to stick with one dress the whole night. I think the overskirt is a great way to make it look a little less modern and more traditional, especially if you want a little more "oomph" for your ceremony.

I'd recommend updo or low side ponytail to show off your shoulders and I think adding some sort of decoration to your hair (whether a veil - I'd recommend fingertip length - hair comb, or ribbon) will add a little pizazz that will make the overall look seem a little less simple and more bridal. Since the dress doesn't have any embellishments I think you can really play up different accessories to "complete" the look and you have a lot of leeway with whatever direction you want to go - flowers, simple ribbons, pearls, or beads, rhinestones, or glitter for bling factor.

Frankly I love it and with the addition of a simple tulle fingertip veil or some other accessories it will totally look and feel bridal.

Get that hair up off your shoulders girl! You've got great shoulders and arms, show them off! That neckline is stunning on you and although it's not blingy like a lot of other women like, I love the simplicity of this dress. It's very elegant and you can do a lot with accessories. Some big dangly earrings or even something big and sparkly would look amazing!! Don't forget to throw in some bracelets!

Your dress is stunning! It really compliments your body type and you look so happy In it. I think it will also photograph extremely well! You can always add accessories, a veil with some design or something in your hair to accentuate the dress as well. I love it!
